Titans signed undrafted Rafael Little who is a great RB who tore up his knee. We will probably not see him on the field until the 2009 season but it is interesting to think that in 09 we will have LenDale White, Chris Henry, "Superstar" Chris Johnson, and Little as our RBs (plus VY). What is our plan to do with all these RBs? Develop them and maybe trade one or two for a stud WR? Or just stop throwing the ball all together?

Let me clean this up (don't know what happened):

Henry and White right now seem to be on the hot seat. White's numbers could be a product of a great o line and him getting a majority of carries. Henry seems to be a bust. Johnson needs a year til we contemplate the decision. So while we have depth at RB, we have the same situation like we do with our WR's. It just isn't as bad.

I am starting to believe that White's good season is about 75% great O-line and 25% good RB. Which makes me believe that the '08 rookie of the year Chris Johnson will be one of the best RBs in the game soon and White will be a very useful short yardage back. Henry will remain a 3rd back option and possibly we will be very happy with Little's comeback in '09.

I think that this is a concern with LenDale White maintaining his weight. He does seem to come to camp the past two years over-weight and out of shape. I think the coaches do not know White's committment to the team and playing football. This is an attempt to put pressure on Lendale to keep in shape and to keep control of his weight. If he continues to show up to camp over weight then the coaches need the threat of benching him... If there are only 3 RB's on the roster that becomes a shallow threat. Henry may surprise people this year... This is his year to shine. If he does not show improvement this year he may be on his way out the door.. But, if he does show improvement, White may be on his way out the door.. This may be a ploy by the coaches to get both backs to improve and show something...

I think LenDale White is locked in as the number one back for now. He did have a 1,000 yards and like 7 TDs. Chris Johnson should split time with him and come in on certain situations where we need a big play. Whether it be on screens or w/e. But if Chris Henry doesn't show significant improvement this year, I think the Titans are gonna let him go.

Rafael Little won't be anything but a practice squad guy.

yea idk about that...we had Travis Henry who got the majority of the carries and had the same line and didnt do that much better.....

i agree with titansrule....we should/need to keep lendale....hes a bruiser, he bangs into the LBs and CBs...and thats gonna make Chris a better runner in the 4th quarter....

Lendale will still get his carries but in 2 years when chris takes over the starters role, he will be the short yardage back...banging and picking up those 3rd and 1s

this could be a great tandem for years to come

LenDale White is not going anywhere. CJ will be used as a third down back and scatback. Playing a motion WR at times. CJ was drafted as a 1, 2 punch. The Titans are stating they made a mistake by drafting Chris Henry in the second round.
