I'm not a Utah or Laker fan but I will say that it came down to Utah not making any baskets and not playing good defence. Kobe was Kobe once again, shooting 5 straight times and not coming close on any of them but kept on shooting. I will also say that Bryant is better as a team player these days but that's the funny part, he is still selfish which tells us all how bad he was before at being a team player. If there is one thing I have found out about Laker fans is that they are blinded to the fact that Bryant is selfish, he is there savior for life and would take it up the you know what for him. And that's ok as long as they stop crying every time Bryant loses and Bryant cries every time he thinks he gets fouled and there isn't one. It's going to be a really good series for the Lakers and Utah and hopefully the Refs aren't the topic.

quick question beagamer....how is kobe still selfish? u cant just talk out of your @ss and give no reason for your statement...sure he was a bit selfish as a younger player, but even then he was never truly that selfish, and nowadays i dont see how u could even assume he is selfish...he averages 6-7 assists which is good...and he does it as a shooting guard which is even better

Let me ask you a quick qustion TERMINATOR, how many minutes a game does Kobe Bryant handle the ball compared to anyone else in the NBA, and then how many times does he actually pass the ball to someone else in a game after the ball has crossed the mid court line. As I've said before, Kobe Bryant is a thousand time less selfish than he was earlier in his career but that just goes to show you how selfish he used to be because he still is. TERMINATOR, I'm just a fan and have my opinion just like anyone else. And oh by the way TERMINATOR, Kobe Bryant averaged 5.4 assists per game this year not SEVEN. Had he had SEVEN per game the Lakers might have won 66 games like another selfless team in the NBA.

BEAGAMER, I agree you have your opinion and you're definitely entitled to it...but handling the ball has nothing to do with being selfish...he's the best player on the court and i'm pretty sure phil jackson wants kobe handling the ball most of the time...shooting the ball, on the other hand, has alot more to do with being selfish and kobe's shot attempts have significantly dropped, especially this year (yeah he shoots alot...but not anymore than the best player in the league should be shooting)...and unlike you said kobe does actually pass the ball alot, the Lakers are a good passing team and that includes kobe, for example most of the time, with the way the triangle offense works, kobe ends up getting hockey assists (the double-assist) and since those dont register in the stats it seems like he has a less significant part in the team's passing when he's actually an integral part of it...and yes you're correct kobe averaged 5.4 assists (again only because of the triangle offense and his role in it) during the season but when i said 6-7 assists i was referring to his recent play in the postseason i just messed up and forgot to say that. ooops
