I think the real bust last year was Hostler the OC.  He did a bad job with the OL as to who should start early in the season and the play calling was horrific. Now if Smith has a bad year this year he is done as well as half of the coaching staff.

Smith is still very young he was how old when he was drafted?  He is still considered a very young player and of coarse he has alot of growth ahead of him.  This year he has been put in the best position he has in all of his time here, Barring not having Norv Turner he help him anymore.  We have a ton of stuff going for us this year not to mention having Hill has the backup.  Hopefully we will see him live up to some of his potential this year, He can in no way be considered a bust its to easy in his carrer he reminds me of a young Rich Gannon , rich didnt produce in his earlier years but after being seasoned turned into a pro bowl player.  Not to mention the fact that they are both highly mobile Qb's.

2008 is judgment day for Alex Smith. this is it. time to put up or shut up. no more excuses... no more injury passes, no more rookie muligans...

this is it...

 you got decent WR;'s, a great running back, a veteran o-line....a solid defense that should be better. and a highly reguarded o-coordinator

either he does or he doesnt.

this is it.

i'm looking for 60% plus completion percentage, at least 2500 passing yards, at least 20 TDs, less then 12 int's, and some crunch time game winning drives.
