How about Samuel and Lito at the corner spots. With Dawkins and Brown at the 2 safetys. We would have 2 excellent cover corners and 2 safeties that can both cover, help out defend the run, and most importantly hit anyone who dares to come across the middle. That would arguably be the best secondary EVER. We would also have Consadine,Hanson, and Reed coming off the bench. Brillant!!!!!!!!!!

I am in total agreement with you.  Lito and Asante at the corners would be huge, they are both very quick and excellent in man coverage.  And with Dawkins and Brown at safety, it would allow Lito and Asante to be more aggressive and go for the ball on slants, curls and out routes.  Dawkins is excellent in coverage help and stuffs the run better than any safety in the league, except maybe Bob Sanders who is un-human at times, and Brown played safety in high school and college, so the transition should be smooth and the learning curve short.  Cole and Clemons are bulls of the ends and with the addition of Laws at DT with Bunkley and Patterson already there, the D-Line looks, on paper, as solid as it has been in a while.  The linebackers concern me, mainly due to their lack of experience, but if we can find the right combination there look out.  All in all I like Lito as a player and a person, I like his composure and diligence, both on and off the field.  GO Eagles!!!

I agree with you that its what they should do, but I've heard that it is unlikely that they're going to do that. I would bet thought that Andy Reid still has that possibility in the back of his mind. If the Eagles did happen to go to that secondary, they would have three Pro Bowl players and one player(Sheldon Brown) that should have been to at least one Pro Bowl.

I'm thrilled with the  added dimension this gives our defense if it goes through. With all the depth we've added at DE our pass rush should be getting lot's of sacks. Fewer points against, better field position, time of possesion the whole nine. I'd still love to see Roy Williams in our colors.

yes the Eagles have a good secondary but only time will tell. there going to need it being as there in the toughest division in football. i believe the eagles are set on defence for a super bowl run but i believe they have work to be done on offence in they need to give MC NABB the wr he keeps asking for to help take the pressure of the running game . the eagles need to pull off a trade somehow even if it means to give the other team the kitchen sink in return to accuire a great wr like Chad Johnson or Roy Williams.the clock is ticking on mc nabb and some of the other stars in philly that have been there since the reid era began. with dallas getting better and the Giants winning it all last year and  you cant forget about the Redskins. i do believe the clock is ticking in philly and its do or die time before the rebuilding process begins again.

Does'nt sound bad at all. Move Considine to safety and Brown to corner on the nickel
