These "brilliant" officals decided to take away the goal off of Morrow's skate even after watching the replay. I was absolutely astounded! As I understnd the rule it says DELIBERATE KICKING MOTION. There was no way an honest judge could have ruled that a deliberate kicking motion. I will concede Morrow's second goal was last touched by his glove, however, that massive cross check from behind might have had something to do with it going into the net when he was violently propelled forward while trying to set it on the ice. The officials have undoubtedly been given the direction to extend the series and give San Jose the advantage they need to appear competitve when clearly they aren't.

God, if I have to hear these Versus commentators twisting any more facts while the Stars are being robbed, I will puke.

Please get the WINGS-STARS series to ESPN and some relatively unbiased commentators. AND PLEASE no more shots of Roenick's chiseled mug gazing purposefully from the bench like Kirk Douglas gazing out as his underdog army defeats a superior Roman force Spartacus.  How nauseating is THAT?

Let's bury San Jose, their commentators, and these biased and shameless officials in game six.

Stars got screwed no other way around it we should be making plans for Detroit now instead of having to play a game 6 against San Jose.

Couldn't agree more.  The last couple of games have been ridiculous.  This last one was a joke.  2 goals disallowed that should or would have been goals.  I thankfully don't have to listen the crew of versus cause I live in Canada (TSN) but they would drive me crazy.  They rarely provide any insightful commentary to the game besides useless bantering, maybe they should be doing baseball.   I would like someone from the league office to step forward and apologize to the teams for the miserable excuse of refereing they've had to endure lately.   How could they look at those plays and not say we screwed up.

Morrow was looking above the net when his foot made contact with the puck.  There was no motion towards the net.  When his foot moved the puck was already in the net.

On the second goal clearly it touched his glove.  HOWEVER, he clearly didn't throw it into the net and would have scored had he not been cross checked through the net.  How did they not see that one on the replay and ask themselves, "How did we miss that one?"  Absolutely ludicrous, should have been a 5 on 3 at the very least.

Here's hoping they get their act together and haven't already ruined the Stars momentum.  I would hate to have to go to a game 7.  Anything can happen, and we shouldn't even be going to game 6.

Can't call ESPN commentators unbiased. Although they may be in your favor. ESPN has something against the Red Wings and they always come up with some reason why they aren't any good, over looking the fact that they have crushed most if not all of their opponents this year. And ESPN's resident hockey "expert" Barry Melrose is the biggest Red Wing hater of them all. He actually predicted Colorado (who was swept in the season series) to beat Detroit in six, then when the Wings swept the playoffs series, he did nothing but make excuses for why Colorado didn't win rather than just say "Detroit was the better team".

I probably shouldn't be talking, seeing is I do not get Versus so I have no idea how bad they are (although EVERYONE seems to hate them). But I can't say ESPN would be any better (just more available which is good)

Agreed, 100%. Also live in Canada, and have been glued to the Stars these playoffs. It's been good watching TSN because they've been pretty even-handed with their analyses. I guess the one exception is Barnaby's comments, but then again, he did play for Dallas. Still, what else could one expect him to say when they're playing so well?

There's been more than a few controversial calls this year (look at the Pens' two series and the late-game calls they've gotten), moreso, I think, than in previous years. You know no one will do anything about it, though, so it's almost pointless to keep complaining (unless you're a Sabres fan and can't let 1999 go).
