This fight will be pretty good if you ask me. Alves is a little stick of dynamite  and Hughes is the tough farm boy.   Who's gonna win?????

Hughes will win hands down!!!!

I don't know if I agree with that. It's hard for me to count anybody out these days. Historically I think Matt Hughes would be the for sure pick, BUT... he might be headed down hill now after his losses to GSP... Maybe its just me but that second fight against GSP he even looked scared... so what I'm sayin is maybe he lost a lilttle of confidence in himself. Alves however is on the rise... and risin quickly. He recently just TKO'd Karo Parisyan and before that he TKO'd Chris Lytle. I do think this will be the BIGGEST test that Thaigo has had yet and if I had to bet, I probably would bet on Hughes... All I'm tryin to say is that it might be closer then you think.

Hughes is done after this fight.  I don't want to believe it and that is most likely not the case, but it's a feeling i can't shake.  I think he is very vulnerable right now after getting destroyed again by GSP.  Alves is a good fighter with lots of energy and you know he is going to be training hard and working on his takedown defense.  I think he's going to win it by decision and Matt hughes will be taking a break for a bit.  I'm pulling for Hughes and i think he is the better fighter, but i don't think he will get his hand raised again for a little while.  I hope it's just a feeling.

Hmm.  Dah Bulls, I can't see Hughes being done after this fight.  Perhaps he will be done soon, but I think he will at least have his grudge match with Matt Serra.

Regardless of the outcome, Hughes will fight Serra once more then retire unless a big title opportunity opens up. I doubt that though.

I hate to take anything away from Alves in his fights vs Lytle and Karo but neither one of those fights should have been stopped when they were. Lytle said he was fine and could see and Karo was defending himself enough for the fight to go on.

I HATE Matt Hughes!!!!

I hope this dude wipes his a** with him. Alves has a great chance of beating him too!
