After an 0-3 start and a trip back to AAA, How many wins will Francisco Liriano get with the Twins this season?

Not too be negative but I see Liriano finishing with a 4-7 record.  I wish the kid the best though and hope he bounces back soon--even if it isn't until next season, then he can win 15 games!

Like i said months before the season even started, Liriano shouldn't even be allowed to start because hes he wont be the same....90 MPH meatballs wont cut it compared to 95 MPH sliders.

Put the kid in the bull-pen and leave him there.  Hes never going to have the success he did in 06' ever again so he should learn to hit his spots with his fastball and he'll be a great relief pitcher.

Leave it to a Packer fan to not know what's going on :-P Seriously though, Liriano will be fine. They say it takes ANOTHER year after coming back to really get into form. Liriano can avoid an elbow injury if he strengthens his shoulder, and I expect he will be back to throwing sliders in a while...and once he does, he will be the Twins ace again. Enough of the pessimism...at least he isn't Slowey (haha, couldn't help but get that dig in...I actually hope Slowey does pan out, that would be nice for the Twins). Anyway...let's just have patience with Liriano. I think pretty much everyone has admitted that this is a rebuilding year for the Twins, no? So let's have fun watching our young team grow so that in 2010, when we have a new stadium, we'll have good mature pitching while an outdoor park will allow us to hit more home runs! Yay! The Twins' future is so bright, I gotta wear shades.

I'm saying 0! I don't think he will be back this year IMO.  He flew through the minors his first year.  I think he needs to start over to get confidence back.  Then maybe next year we will have our old Liriano back...if at all.  Tommy John surgery is a major deal.  No pitcher has ever come back in the same form the first year.  As to be expected when you miss 1 1/2 years of live baseball.  Only good thing out of this is they may be able to lock him up into a lower long term contract.
