ANOTHER NFL PLAYER INVOLVED IN GUN PLAY. YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME. DO THESE GUYS NOT MAKE ENOUGH MONEY TO STAY OUT OF THE STREETS? I MEAN REALLY, DO THEY NOT HAVE THE SENSE TO JUST LAY LOW AND ENJOY BEING WEALTHY?
From what I read, Harrison was kicking out an unruly customer from the bar he owns when whatever it was happened. Harrison also is a registered owner of 25 guns and has a legal lisence to carry. Whatever it was that happened, it's not like he was involved in a street fight or gang related activity, plus the man who's hand was "grazed" is a convicted felon. Also, I think Harrison has filled the mold of "laying low" as you put it for the last 10 years. Even if Harrison is guilty of a crime in this case, I don't think that he should be written off as an OJ or Pacman-like character until the facts come out.

The report I read said that Harrison beat the crap out of the guy. Also, it is 100 % that the guy involved in the shooting is legally registered to Harrison. The law says that if it is your gun involved in the shooting, than you are at fault. Harrison will definetly be charged. Also, there are witnesses that say they saw Harrison firing the gun.
Really?! He went out to party! He was not on the streets like a thug or something. Unfortunately Harrison was at the wrong place at the wrong time. Besides, he didnt pull the trigger....his groupie did.
It is a little quick to judge Marvin Harrison as one of the NFL gangsters. Give it a rest and quite listening to talk radio propoganda until it is sorted out. Marvin has been nothing but an outstanding player and positive representative of this team in Indpls.
In a related story, Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones immediately expressed interest in acquiring Harrison upon learning of his connection to a shooting.
seriously, haven't NFL players learned: if you want to commit a crime that won't affect your NFL career, beat your wife or rape a woman. You don't get punished for those crimes. killing dogs, getting in fights, or being in the area when somebody you know shoots someone, now those are the sorts of crimes the NFL punishes.
I REFUSE TO LET A UNCONFIRMED STORY BY THE ASSOCIATED PRESS CAUSE ME TO BELIEVE NOT ONLY THAT Marvin Harrison HAD ANYTHING TO DO WITH THIS, BUT TO GO SO FAR AS TO SAY. A "GUN WAS FOUND IN A BUCKET AT THE CAR WASH HE OWNS" AND THE BULLET CAME FROM A "RARE" GUN THAT HE OWNS....COME ON NOW!!! TOO MUCH "GOSSIP" AND NOT ENOUGH FACTS. ITS A SHAME TO WHAT WE CAN DEEM AS CREDITABLE NEWS THESE DAYS.
Yeah, right. You sound like a Patriots fan who refuses to believe that their coach did anything wrong because there's too much gossip and not enough facts. Don't be a hypocrite.
I agree with the statement of "DO THEY NOT HAVE THE SENSE TO JUST LAY LOW AND ENJOY BEING WEALTHY?" This applies to the ones that have been convicted and found guilty of their acts. I do beleive that it is a little early to call him a Gangster as the complete story is not out yet. If something happened that was that bad, i think that the dude who got shot would have pointed the finger at Harrison right off the bat trying to get as much $$$$ as possible. I think we all need to wait to hear more on the story. Also, OJ was not guilty right? :D
Exactly...plus the story even sounds suspect to begin with...the bullet shot resembles a rare special made gun...then how do you know it is from that gun...if it's rare and special made...then in the same article say that you found a different gun in a bucket that matched the bullet...well, I don't know about any of you guys, but if I had a "special made, rare gun" I wouldn't even accidently leave it in a bucket!!! This almost sounds like a case of somebody saying to the cops..."I don't know who shot me, but he was black!" I hated to pull out a racism card (being white myself) but some people automatically assume the worst from people...I hope he is found innocent of everything, since "no charges have been filed" and I would liek to see him get a public apology from the Philadelphia police dept!!!
MessWitMe: Actually, Philly's gun laws are pretty tough, tougher than they are in the rest of the state where the gun rights lobby is too strong to get anything done in Harrisburgh.
And I'm going to have to disagree with your labeling of Philly as a "dump." It's actually a nice city, just going through some serious problems with violence the last few years.
