I used to make fun of this one beer called "Blue Moon" because it sounded like a lesbian beer or something. I then decided to try it and it possibly ranks up there as one of my favorites. Leffe is also pretty good as well and I think it's a Belgium beer. Widmer Heffe never disappoints. I never really liked Stella it tastes too normal.
Favorite import has to be Carlsberg from Denmark. My favorite domestic is a microbrew called Hopslam from Belle Brewing Co. Unfortunately Belle is located in Michigan so I can't drink it during collage football season.
We'll have to have a Carlsberg during one of the games this year...the only problem is, I live in New York. I'm trying to pick out a game (or two) to go to with my girlfriend. Which game(s) should I come back for? I was looking at OSU v. USC tix, and they're already like $400/$500 a piece, plus airfare, plus hotel...I'm not rolling that deep!!
I drink Miller Chill or Bud Light, because My girlfriend and ALL of my friends handicapp me with their beer purchasing @parties, cookouts, etc. respectively.
I drink Shiner (made in Shiner, TX...I'm a Texas transplant) when its time to toss the light domestics and get pissy.
I drink a Red Beer (usually with ANY light doemestic) which I mix usually a V8 or Tomato juice with the beer (3 parts beer, one or more parts juice)...when I go to franchised, nationwide grills and bars such as TGI Friday's...this gets me known very quikly when I frequent them for sports events.
I drink Blue Moon (Fort Collins, CO...my home state), Negro Modela (Mexico) or Labatt Blue (Canada) when I'm in a decent bar or club.
I drink Warsteiner Dunkel (Germany) When I can find it or want to shell out the extra $3-4 for a sixer @Whip-in (South Austin).
I drink Bootlegger Brown (Only in Austin, TX baby, my current rez) when I'm @Opal Divine's or cop some when I want visitors to know about the Austin digs and novelties!
