GM is consistently losing money hand over fist in the business world. Amazing they can be so engrossed in NASCAR and have such a poor business model. GM just posted a $3.3 billion dollar loss. $3.3 BILLION DOLLARS - holy crap, I can't imagine that.
I will not be surprised to see Chevy tank out like Pontiac did...GM is a doomed company even with so much brand loyalty, they just aren't making the smart business decisions to keep solvent, let alone be able to stay in NASCAR.
My thoughts for Tony are pretty simple as well...Micheal Waltrip and Robby Gordon...need I say more?
How can a driver be an owner and take care of all the little owner details and then be able to hit the track and drive and keep the two going at the same time and actually win some races? These other two have tried, but neither have a win either. Robbies last win came when he punted someone out of line at Bristol I think or it was some other short track. Michael won at Daytona and blah blah blah, but he wasn't an owner then.
An owner has to make sure he keeps sponsors going, the garage going, the drivers, and on and on. Tony needs to keep his little empire as is and when his career is over, then he can be an owner. Sorry, I am a Smoke fan to be honest, but I just don't have faith enough in him to be both an owner and driver.
