KELLER'S   lawsuit was suspious at best, however, with regards to Alabama getting  put on probation a number of years ago, the NCAA went way over the top with thier sanctions. There  was ANOTHER lawsuit brought against the NCAA by an Alabama  booster, Logan Young, and he WON his suit also, and it was not thrown out or reversed. It has been widely recognized that the NCAA was overly harsh in the loss of scholarships, and  restricted  tv appearances for two years by the  CRIMSON TIDE , not to mention, no BOWL appearances at the same time. Other universities , who had been accused of the same penalties ,went unpunished, if not ,un-investigated. (See Tennessee and the Tee Martin scandal..... Florida State......Notre Dame...).

But Alabama DID commit some violations, so dont misunderstand me here. We have paid the price, and it is readily apparent that it hurt the program tremendously, which was plainly obvious in the past weekends draft, with ZERO Alabama players chosen. BUT, it also shows you what kind of talent that Coach Mike Shula and Coach Nick Saban were working with in the last 5 years. ( or should i have said " lack" of talent )

ROLL TIDE!

iho.....

What I mean is boosters have to much power in college sports and to much say in what goes on in the program, all because they donate large sums of money to either the school, program, and in some cases the players. Boosters have been the source of many problem in college sports, now I don't want to paint everyone with one brush and understand that some donate because they have that much excess money and their intentions are good and they love their and sports, I get that part. A lot of teams seem to experience problems with boosters going to far or having to much influence on their programs.
