Just for fun, I wanted thoughts on what everyone thinks Blatche's "career year" will look like sometime down the road.  I see so much in him and hope he can put it together...but my expectations are probably a lot higher than most.

I think he's eventually going to be capable of something like...

19.0 ppg, 12.0 rpg, 3.0bpg, 50%FG, 80%FT

I think your numbers are pretty close Benny.  He is a hell of a shot blocker.  If his points and rebounds came out to be around what you have above he will have a solid career.  Maybe he can over achieve that would be nice, maybe average low 20's in points.  He has awesome raw talent.  Should be exciting watching him progress.  I know one thing he needs to step it up tonight we are getting blown out in the second quarter.

GO WIZ

No harm in dreaming, but 19/12/3 is a pretty tall dream to dream.

There are only a few studs in the league that can put up 20/10/2. Those kind of numbers will earn you a trip to the All Star game. We would have seen more out of Andray by now if he had 20/10/2 potential. For example, the dude has got to crack the starting lineup first. And showing some maturity and focused dedication would be a nice touch. Does anyone out there think that Andray is the first to arrive at practice and the last to leave?

I think Andray is a good prospect and I'm glad that Ernie locked him up for a few years. But I don't see him going to the All Star game anytime soon.

Well if we end up resigning gilbert and then don't have the money to resign jamison, who is having a career year, then blatche will probaly get the start next year at the 4.  Then I think that his numbers for next year can be something like...

16.0 ppg, 11.5 rpg, 3.0 bpg, 48%FG, 75%FT

His potential is sky high and it is up to him to become the player that he can be.

Yup, it's mostly his lack of dedication and work ethic that will stop him from putting up any numbers like that---not his raw ability.

After 3 years working out with NBA trainers don't you think we would see some transformation in his body?  He still has string bean arms and gets winded, and I believe that is something easily changed with a little dedication and effort.

One or two years at Syracuse University would have helped Andray a lot.

That's a little too generous Benny, I wouldn't be surprised if one year he was able to pull out 14 ppg 10 rpsg 2 bpg though in a few seasons though.
On another note, I don't understand how the Wizards are staying afloat, no Butler, no Arenas, Jamison is clearly not 100%, currently a 10 man roster.  Some games they look like the Twolves and others they look like they can compete with the Celts and Pistons.

Exactly Mtro69,  I thought I had a good feed on this team,  but I guess that is what you get with a jump shooting young team.
