no need to get too detailed here,Browns fans watch the Steelers goings on just as much as we watch yours.you guys can do the math--we now have insane offensive potential.i might be speaking off the cuff but i'm going superbowl here!
i know........crazy talk.but how do you stop this offense.there are so many angles and options here.ben is set too go berzerk!!!!! i know....i know your gonna blitz the heck out of em'.
not to get off subject,but we did nothing,the draft simply came to us......i took alot of flack with the .......we are the pittsburgh steelers.....comment...but like i said we have a certain aura about us..good things happen.i even mentioned we'd probably rock this draft with our eyes closed......and thats exactly what happened.
anyway,as long as somebody from the north punches new england in the chops i'm all for it.you ,us, whatever---you have to have the fire power to compete and some d to win.
But not the way you meant it..... superbowl???? You're predicting this from the draft??? I'll admit, you guys had a pretty good draft.... but come on!!! I think the Browns had a better draft than your beloved Steelers!!!! ( You gotta look at what we got with the trades we made!!) You might have gotten a pretty good RB & WR (but that is yet to be seen), we got two proven D-Linemen and you guys didn't address your biggest need, O-Line. Big Ben is gonna be on his back more than a nickel hooker!!!! We'll see you this season, and you guys better bring your "A" game!!!!

it's not about simpleton plays---all the possibilities are here now.it's not your typical steeler team,better yet,not our fathers Steelers.this is fire power......do get your scoreboard ready,power breakers,led screen,bulbs,whatever.were gonna test your scorebaord this year.

Ok, so heres how it is. The possibilities are there for the Steelers, Ill give you that. Unless mendenhall or sweed add on a buck 25 each and have a hand on the ground then having the weapons is going to do no good. You still have a weakened OL and your D isnt improved from last year. Before you annoint your rookies as the next bus and swann remember that no one is a lock and you might be getting Ki-jana Carter and Mike Williams. Ill give you this much, anyone beating the pats will be nice, and it is going to be a good season. THE RIVALRY IS RENEWED!
dogside thanx for responding to my other thread---you give solid info,and i did respond with a bit on intellivision!----------it's great to see someone with some affection for that ol'unit.sometimes i feel the new stuff is overly detailed/complicated,whereas intelliviaion was simple and great fun.yes we'd like ours back!

Brian Brennan, Ozzie Newsome, Eric Metcalf, Kevin Mack, Leroy Hoard, I can practically name that whole freakin' team. I'll agree I'm gald the rivalry is back!!! I just don't think you need to be crowning the Squeelers juuust yet. Their D is a year older, their O-line is weaker. Steeler football is, has been, and always will be, a ground it out kind of offense, no matter how much you, other fans, and Big Ben Worthlessburger want it to be a high powered shoot 'em up type O, it won't be. Save yourself the heartache and prepare yourself for another season of a run first Offense (espcially since the addition of Mendenhall) I think that's a sign the Fast Willie is on his way out in a year or two.
Personally, I hope the Steelers try and be a pass first offense, they always get the crap kicked out of 'em when they try it. Big Ben is a safe QB... not a game winner... but a "game not loser" type. Here's to the rivalry renewed!!!
