It Was A Great 1st Round---Yall Keep Talking About These Recivers But I Keep Saying Where Are They Can Start. Can't Take Terrel Owens Spot Or Terry Glenn And Crayton Proved He Is The Number 3 Reciver. None Of These Recivers In The Draft Will Make A Impact For Us.

Fellas, I like what they did.  I was a Felix Jones person in the beginning,  I was a bit worried that JJ was going to trade for McFadden, but when they selected Felix I jumped for joy.  I also like the pic of Jenkins, that solves our cb situation,  I almost thought that cromartie was going to  fall in ourlaps but, i can deal with Jenkins.

I think the Jenkins pick was great. If Adam Jones can grow up, think about who is in that secondary. Jenkins will be lucky to get on the field. Easily the best secondary in the league. Jenkins couldn't be in a better learning position.

Mendenhall vs. Jones

Mendenhall

2005- 218 yds, 4.5 ypc, 2 TDs

2006- 640 yds, 8.2 ypc, 6 TDs

2007- 1681 yds, 6.4 ypc, 17 TDs

Jones (As a BACKUP to Darren McFadden)

2005- 626 yds, 6.3 ypc, 3 TDs, +1 Punt Return TD

2006- 1168 yds, 7.6 ypc, 9 TDs, +1 Punt Return TD

2007- 1162 yds, 8.7 ypc, 11 TDs +2 Punt Return TDs

There is no question why they went with Jones.

Arinton,

I totally agree with you about Felix over Reshard. I honestly think both guys ended up where there skills will be best utilized. Najeh Davenport can just say good bye to his job as the goaline bruiser back. Reshard was rated higher by most experts but you gotta ask yourself what kind of monster would Felix put up if he played for Illinios???? Felix put up great number in the SEC. Felix is going to look great in our Offense. And we dont have to worry about him being a primadona(i hope thats how you spell that lol) he will be comfortable playing his role as a change of pace back and special teams player.

Just a thought - Pac's young and a 1st rounder and jenkins comes in as a 1st rounder...if they can play up to their abilities then that will allow for better negotiations with Newman.  If he stays, he will be affordable and if he leaves, we have a young talented cb depth with pacman, jenkins, oglesby, & ball plus a possibility in obtaining another cb in next year's draft..  PLus, Henry is aging and a mentor to Jenkins already.  I can see that we will have our secondary problems resolved for a while.

I agree Lexington, I'm going to go out on a limb and say that Felix Jones is going to have a better season next year than Darren McFadden or any other rookie back .  Don't get me wrong, McFadden is amazing, but Jones won't have the target on his back like McFadden, not to mention the supporting cast around the two are night and day.  Just my thoughts from a die hard Razorback, and Cowboy fan.
