Who is he?  We just drafted him.

I don't like this pick. He is small. The only positive is that he is a deep threat. They probably could have got him as an undrafted free agent. They should have taken Mike Hart because I only see Hicks as a returner.

dunno but he sounds fast

One of the quickest receivers in this year's class, Johnson is explosive as a receiver and return man. He caught 66 balls for 1,140 yards (17.3 per) and nine touchdowns and averaged 10.9 on 43 punt returns (with two scores) in his last two seasons. He couldn't crack the All-SWAC teams, but Johnson will have a great chance at achieving two other goals: being an NFL draft pick and making an NFL roster

Go Vikings

Peace

He sounds like a player with a higher upside then a down side. He could become a turn and burn type player in spread formations. He is very fast and he has the frame to get bigger, so size does not have to be a concern.  He will contribute right away in the return game if He makes the Vikings roster.  Hicks is not Hester, and maybe this kid can get close to Hester or Cribbs.  I am not saying that he will touch their skill level but that is likely why the Vikings drafted him.  It is not really that bad if he does not pan out because he was a sixth round pick.

I found a good youtube video about him if anyone wants to check it out.  It's about 2 minutes long, give it a look:

I hate to sound negative, but that was pretty much Troy Williamsons write up coming out of college.  At least we didn't waist a #1 on him

Troy Williamson? I dont think so. Just because someone is fast doesn't meen you compare tehm to Troy Williamson. He has hands and was not a top 10 pick. Chances are he won't make the team, not as a receiver. But we picked him in the 6th round. What do you expect?

Watch the video. He is a more athletic Wes Welker. Great speed, great quickness, great hands, very shifty, returner. I already like him more than Bobby Wade and Aundrae Allison. The Vikings know how to draft WRs, this guy is a sleeper.

Don't know much about Jaymar Johnson but from what all the analyists are saying he could could be a real sleeper and a steal for the Vikings...Tremendous speed with a 4.3-40, great hands and very elusive....Maybe a tad on the small side but some of the best WR's (Steve Smith) and return guys (Devin Hester) are small so IMO he could potentially be a great pick....time will tell.
