NO Cuse Players Drafted?

I know you guys haven't been good for a while, since McNabb, but you guys couldn't get anyone drafted?

Someone please tell me why? You guys aren't that bad are you?

I'm not surprised, look at how many players were drafted from USC. Then look at how many players were drafted from Syracuse. Our program is pathetic for football. It shows when teams like Deleware are getting first round picks and we can't get anybody in the draft.

Syracuse football has taken a nosedive. Personally I think it is the atmosphere. You have so many other schools in the Big Ten and Big East to compete against for recruits. The dome is not a great football venue. It can get loud but it just doesn't have a football atmosphere. I say get into a massive project and reorganize south campus. Put a nice big football stadium up there and relocate some of the buildings and housing. Obviously it is not going to happen but an outdoor facility would be awesome. Something about Dome's IMO that takes away from what football is all about.

The roads are better suited to handle a higher traffic volume there anyways. It is a mess getting in and out of the campus for a basketball game. Honestly the last really bigtime players I can remember watching live on the hill were Clifton Smith, David Tyree and Anthony Smith... not a list many casual football fans would know much about.

  Yeah, I made a spelling error in my post up there but most Syracuse fans don't even look like they give a crap about the way we look on here. I bet Mikesyr17 is a big reason why were hated so much on here. Don't get me wrong, I agree with most of the stuff that he says, but sometimes he acts stupid.Other posters like Cusemanchild and digit (like mentioned up there) are complete phony's too.

As with your dome comment, it's not the greatest in the world (obviously because it only seats a maximum capacity of 49,500 people and we only average about 40,000 with a good team and 25,000-27,000 now) it is enclosed so it does get louder when the fans and the students get involved in the game but overall it's not all that great of a venue. The renovations the last few years have helped but before the renovations the place was not a great place to play at all. If we still had the dome crowds of back in the mid-late 80's it would be one of the top venues still.

I actually was commenting on Digits spelling error as opposed to yours. I think part of the problem is the mix of alumnis, hardcore fans and the younger and older crowd of fans who are just bitter. I agree with you on Mike but he also tends to lash out at fellow SU posters. I have no problem with correcting an inaccuracy but making assanine and uncalled for comments when you are knee deep in ignorance stew gets very frustrating. It is a message board so logic is hit or miss with most posters. Arguing a point is well founded but calling someone out because you don't like their vantage point is just childish.

Posters like digit is exactly why public forums just get ruined. You can inject "spam" posts on every thread and clutter up what was a good discussion. It is uncontrollable because we do not have delegated admins to each fan base. I think the scoring system could be used more efficiently and along a more complex matrix to allow for voting in admins and delegating the power of banning from an individual teams board. This is not going to happen so the best thing to do is hit up the syracuse scout forums where it is basically just a community that runs itself where admins are longtime cusers who can ban spammers like digit as they please.
