Never thought he would leave Joe Gibbs Racing.

The dumbest thing they've ever done was switch to Toyota's. I can't see them going back to Chevy's...

So congratulations Joe, you just lost your team's best driver, and (most likely) Ryan Newman as well. Great job.

I hope Tony goes to Hendrick now to drive a Chevy again. And no offense to Casey Mears, but I'd be in favor of giving him the boot if I could land a great driver like Stewart.

Can you see it? Dale Earnhardt Jr., Tony Stewart, Jeff Gordon, and Jimmie Johnson on the same team. NASCAR's Dream Team.

Newman doesn't drive for JGR; how can he lose him????  You are obviously a fan of some other sport, probably mens swimming.

Good one J.

Don't forget about his love of gymnastics as well.  Stewart isn't going anywhere this year.....or next......or ever.  We will hear about this one for some time to come, but this will force JD to give him the money he wants.

The article said clearly, he wants part ownership of his car. What needs to happen is for JGR to add a 4th car and have Stewart part owner of that car. Much like the Jeff Gordon being part owner of Jimmie johnson's #48 Lowe's Chevy. It can happen, it will take adding another car to the stable and bringing in a driver that is up to Tony's standards inorder to make this happen. JGR has alot of young talent waiting in the wings in some of the lower series, just to have a chance at a seat. Only time will tell. I'll stick with Stewart where ever he ends up!

Go Smoke !!!

He may not go anywhere next year but even then contracts get broken all the time.  I really can't imagine Stewart trying to use the free agency thing to get more money.  I think what it boils down to is ownership options with whomever he lands with.

Tony has to show his allegience to Chevy since they basically fund his sprint car racing operation.  Especially now more than ever since he's coralled Donnie Shatz and Kraig Kinser as drivers.  One a son of a legend and the other is a legend in the making.  I see Tony going with someone besides Gibbs since they have it in his contract that he cannot run at Indy while under contract, and winning Indy is his life long dream.  But hey, I bet no one held a gun to his head while he signed on the dotted line!

probably mens swimming...

That's the best you could come up with?

That leads me to believe that you might be the hot-wax boy for our olympic swimmers...

Of course I'm a fan of another sport. If NASCAR is your favorite sport, you might be a redneck.

Football and basketball are the sports I follow more closely than the Cup series... along with baseball. MLB and NASCAR are really close as far as how much I get into them, if it wasn't for the Red Sox.

Sorry for the dumb mistake. Obviously, I wasn't thinking. I don't know why I said Newman was part of JGR. He drives a Dodge, and always has. He was teammates with Rusty (now Kurt), and I remember those two never really spoke to each other or shared info about setups despite being on the same team, because they didn't like each other.

JGR had Bobby Labonte a few years back and won a championship with him, and I believe he has Stewart, Hamlin... and is it Vickers?

And if you are going to take shots at somebody, please do better than that.

On a scale of 1 to 10, that "mens swimming" joke was a 2.5 at best.

Curling would've been funnier. Women's bodybuilding would've been funnier. Professional table-tennis would've been funnier. I would've given you a 4 out of 10 for those. Hell, bobsledding would've been funnier. Just figured I'd share those with you the next time you think of falling back on your lame "mens swimming" joke to diss somebody else.

jercartvike,

I decided to have a little fun of my own, because I was bored. So I decided to check out your profile and some of the few messages that you've actually posted. It didn't take but a couple minutes to read through your short list of messages.

NASCAR and politics ... that's an interesting combination.

Here's some of your best work.

"And based on your previous posts and obvious lack of intelligence, you have probably seen lots gays. If you think he's the biggest homo you've ever seen, you need to stop hanging out with gay midgets. ..."

Based on this post, you have an obvious lack of intelligence. Typing "lots gays." That makes no sense. Lots OF gays, now I could understand that. And if this guy thinks that he's (Jeff Gordon) the biggest homo he's ever seen, then I highly doubt he'd be hanging around gay midgets.

Unless you are implying that Jeff Gordon is more of a homo than gay midgets are, because that's what it sounds like. Get my point? Or is that too difficult for you to comprehend?

What do you have against gay midgets anyway?

(To put this out there, I don't think Gordon is a homo, but I still don't like him.)

"Obama is the anti-christ. Barrack Hussein Obama. 18 letters in his name. 3 names. 18/3=6 6 in each name place = 666. ..."

Again, your typing skills leave something to be desired. Like actual typing skills. Last time I checked, his name was Barack Hussein Obama. Yes, there are 18 letters in his name. Yes, 18 divided by 3 equals 6, so you can't be as dumb as I think you are.

Then you go on to say 6 (letters) in each name place? Now you are as dumb as I think you are.

Barack (6) Hussein (7) Obama (5).

How is it that you can do 2nd grade math, but can't count at a kindergarten level?

By the way, antichrist is one word.

Look, I understand I messed up and said something dumb, but before you take shots at people, think about what you are doing, or who you are first. And please, don't be jealous of kids that ride the big bus. And please tell your mother that she isn't helping you by doing your homework for you. You need to do it for yourself, so you can actually learn something for a change.

Bottom line: My mistake was bad (and dumb), but your mistakes in your posts are worse (and dumber).

Must be too many chemicals in hot-wax you work with. I think it's infecting your brain.

Go back to school.

Seriously though, I'm not mad or upset. I don't know what I was thinking saying Newman was part of Gibbs. I knew better than that. It was a stupid, honest, dumb, mistake.

But apparently, you are all too familiar with stupid mistakes, so you know how it is.

My advice is, when somebody makes as dumb of a mistake as I did, call them an idiot and leave your cunning sense (lack) of humor out of it.

Honestly, I would've simply apologized for my mistake and agreed with you that I was an idiot.

Well---thank you Albert Einstein. You continue to show your ignorance and gay tendencies. You seem to have thoughts of naked men on your mind with the hot wax comments. Also----Ryan Newman has not always driven a Dodge. He started in 2000 at Phoenix in a Ford and didn't drive a Dodge until Penske switched in 2003. Like I said before, you need to be honest with yourself and come out of the closet. And enjoy the Richard Simmons workouts you obviously prefer over Nascar.
