I was just reading an interview with Manningham and I have to say, it really cemented any concerns over his lack of motivation. He just had this "Yeah, whatever" attitutde towards the whole marijuana issue, and quite honestly, it sounded like he didn't really care for any of the players on the team. I really hope Kevin Gilbride and Mike Sullivan can light a fire under his @$$.

This kid can flat out make the big plays especially after the catch. He had some incredible TD's at the Big House and made Henne look good on a lot of them. Manning to Manningham will hopefully be heard soon in the NFL. I don't care what Jaws and the espn gang think. They just come up with reasons why their top picks fall to cover their ass.  Everyone was surprised he slipped that far but its just as well. He played in a big time program against great competition and made a lot of highlight reels on "sportcenter" in the end zone. As a Giants fan I am excited about this pick and what he can possibly bring to Manning's vertical game. A steal in the 3rd round in my book.

This can be a great pick or a disaster. It is highly unusual for the Giants to take a risk on a kid like this. They normally take them off their draft board. We needed depth at WR in case of injury as both Plaxico Burress and Amani Toomer have been injured the last two years and Steve Smith is a good possession receiver but not great speed. I hope it works out as Manningham has a ton of talent and needs to start working hard. He did not have an agent before the combine where he ran slow so again points to immaturity which can be overcome with coaching and mentoring. Also Todd McShay had him ranked as his 2nd WR so not all the "experts" panned the pick.

this is for the people who think he was a bad pick cause he had off feild problems lets see did'nt the experts say bradshaw  wasnt going 2 work out  bla bla  and what did he do for us when he came in for ward look mario is going to be a great wide out in the nfl i also read some where that somebody had a problem wit his size um Marvin Harrison isn't big ,nor is Steve Smith  from  corolina he reminds me of Santana Moss also he does have speed he just had a bad combine.  i know he will be our #2  he'll beat out moss and maybe smith.

If you read the conference it's absolutely hilarious, I would put money that he was on something. I wish I saw it live but reading the transcript he was asked if he's met any of the Giants players and he said he was in their locker room but doesn't know any of the players names. In his defense though the reporters were kind of obnoxious. Asked about his off-field incidents about 6 times

Who cares if the kid smoked pot? This is a low risk high reward pick. Manningham at the end of the 3rd round when he was listed as one of the top Wr, are you kidding me? Either he becomes a good wideout or he get suspended. It's worth the risk. Sinorice Moss is officially gone from now on. Great pick. Great draft. Kenny Phillips is a gift.

Will eventually become an even better reciever than the legendary Amani Toomer (ironic they were 2 of the greatest Wolverine W.R.'S ever). It may take a year or two but make no mistake, this guy is very talented and would have been the only W.R. chosen in the 1st round if not for off field
