"as for Cottam while i would have like to see a lineman or a WR this is a pretty decent pick, simply because he is supposed to be a pretty good blocker and since we lost Jason Dunn we do have a need for a Blocking TE "

I can dig what your saying as far as the first two picks..But really, we have a HUGE issue at WR and OL..more than any other team...Why not get a decent guy now..that can grow with Albert, still get some hand me down knowledge from Brian Waters while he is still in the top of his game and at that point we having a growing OL...

Also, why not take Doucet. I'm not a big LSU Fan, but he was there...Bowe, Webb, Doucet and Darling...Why not...I don't see how the one pick we have in the 4th round is going to help at any of the positions we need. I know this sounds crazy but I feel in the 4th round and on...unless you find a Diamond in the Rough, you are getting backups, special teamer's, and other developing players that you hope make the team..

All in All, i just feel we could have made a bigger splash in the 3rd round by addressing other positions that we have a huge need for..

I agree with you for the most part Hubie.  It looks like the first two picks of the round the Chiefs went with the best player available.  Now, so long as they focus on needs with the next picks, this will be a very good draft.

Three more picks ahead of us now and we are back on the clock.  It looks like either Anthony Collins or Carl Nicks will likely be there.  If that is the case, we need to take one of them.  At WR, Will Franklin, Keenan Burton and Paul Hubbard will likely be there as well.  Let's take one of those five players Carl and get back to addressing needs.

The 4th through 7th rounds are mainly for finding diamonds in the rough. A few possible stars are still left, but they are very undeveloped at this point. Even if the Chiefs draft O line, I'm guessing the player would be on 2nd or 3rd string this season. For the most part, the starters have been found. Maybe one more player drafted could end up starting, but for the most part, the studs are taken.

Chiefs should take John David Booty if he is available. Gives them a proven winner in college, and someone to begin devoloping.
