Thats a bit unfair. Aaron Heilman gets more than his fair share of sunshine on that dogs a$$. The problem is, after 2006, he got a reputation, and no matter how many good outings he has, he always seems to have sporadic outings where he blows a big situation, and that reinforces the entire reputation he earned that off season between '06 and '07. His ERA for an 8th inning pitcher is too low to consistently be inconsistent for his career, not including 08 numbers, where he has been poor this year.
But to bash his 2007 performance is joining the bandwagon and following your emotion rather than the facts.
I know this is the unpopular view point, but I think he is a Mets fans favorite scape goat.
