The Chiefs will be the big winners if Dorsey isn't made of glass. If he's as fragile in the pros as he was in college than his worth will be diminished. But if he can stay healthy than the Chiefs 1st day alone wil make them the winners of this draft no matter what happens on the second day.
Dorsey is not made of glass, he got chopped blocked in a game v. auburn. The injuries simply amassed after that because he kept playing while hurt. In the NFL it is doubtful that teams will take cheap shots at him like they did in college, because there is no possible way to be as dominant as he was in college in the NFL. Plus players have a lot more to lose for taking blatant cheap shots in the NFL than guys who have no shot to go pro do when taking cheap shots in college.
Dorsey will be fine.
The Chiefs had one of the best 2 rounds in a single draft this decade. It will not show right away because they have not acquired the position players (QBs and Wide receivers), but they set themselves up to turn it around after next years draft.
The AFC west may shape up to be the toughest division in the next couple of years, with Russel and McFadden at Oakland, LDT Rivers and Merrimen at San Diego, and up and coming Chiefs.
Dude, let me first say that i'm not an LSU fan, but I live in the south and get stuck watching these coat-tail riders, Glenn Dorsey is the REAL DEAL!! This kid played through an ILLEGAL chop block that is allowed in the south........the same loser that did it to Dorsey did it to a Bama tackle and the douche is still allowed to play!! Apparently this guy doesn't watch college football. I'm a Big Ten fan, but it's obvious to see that this kid is a BEAST. This guy at the very least has a solid career ahead of him, he's a sure thing. Nice pick by the Chiefs (oh yeah, and as a Vikings fan, thanks for Jared Allen!!! :)
Sorry, I just realized my post didn't really address the topic the original poster raised. I meant to say: how can you say Dorsey is made of glass? He doesn't really have an injury history, and in fact he has played injured and excelled in what is the toughest conference in college football right now.
Uhhhh, dude admit you don't watch college football. Glenn Dorsey never missed a game even AFTER he was chop blocked against Auburn. Made of glass? Moron
Remember, one of his injuries was a cheap block by two Auburn players when they were getting knocked around by LSU. Let Dorsey play and develop; if he need surgery at some point in his rookie season to clean-up any physical problems then go ahead. The Chiefs aren't going anywhere in '08. This is just the first year in a two-three year process.
Congrats Chief fans, on what looks to be the best draft this year. Of course we wont know for 3-4 years but looks like the Chiefs really set themselves up for future success.
