The recruiting class is not as rich as usual, and issues are coming out of the woodwork. These are rough times for BIG AL AND THE BOYS. What i will say is that this is usually when Groh does his best coaching. When nobody expects the Cavs to do anything. So dont be surprised if Virginia shows up to play the trojans very tough. Oh and by the way, who cares what hokie fans think anyway? Things are not as bad as they seem. Go wahoos!!!!!!!!!!

I am concerned with some of the offseason news, what is our QB situation going to be like come game day vs. USC? I can tell you this, I am not holding out a lot of hope for a winning season, but if we upset USC, the rest of the season is gravy in my book, regardless of the rest of the seasons results.

Wow...........that statement confirms you have no confidence in your team. Shouldn't you be worried about conference play? How about rivalry games? This will be an important game for the Trojans, only because it's the first game of the season, and it's on the other side of the country. BUT..............
We do have a tough game at home vs OSU, and the outcome may have nat'l title game implications, but I'd rather see the Trojans win the PAC10 and games against UCLA and Notre Dame.

I cant believe some of these USC fans, what do they think the wahoos are giving up already? Got to be out of their minds, as I recall Stanfod gave them a good game AT HOME. I think the Hooos have a chance to win and USC will NOT score in the 50's, I would put my life savings on that!!

VT every team that SC plays seems to give us their best shot, some even exceed their potential. And let's be honest Stanford might have given us a good game but we sure didn't give Stanford a good game and nothing like that is going to happen again for a long time. Be careful with your savings bud, SC scoring in the 50's isn't all that rare, you'd do a lot better in a Roth IRA. Summer is way too long to wait.

surprise surprise. lol. what a typical usc fan. the trojans have absolutely one of the best programs in the country without a doubt. pete carroll has done a tremendous job out there. my problem is with usc fans such as yourself. always want to talk smack when things are good, but disappear like a set of rims at a puff daddy concert when your team is not so hot. also, why so negative? does it stem from your childhood? we, " the adults in the room" were just having a nice conversation about our team and giving our opinion of the upcoming season. i did not make any negative comments to bash the trojans, but just like clockwork here comes the fan who cant help himself. it doesnt surprise me though. there is always some idiot that gets personal, and cannot have a conversation without becoming childish. so the next time i want your opinion i will give it to you.

well obviously the man is just excited at idea of beating usc. without a doubt the conference is very important. lets say uva beats usc, and it is crazy in charlottesville. well handling that success can be difficult for young players, and uva has plenty of young players. if they win a letdown could easily happen. we see it every year in college football and that would be even worse than losing a close game to usc and winning the letdown game. last year uva played one of the worst games i have ever seen against wyoming. if they play ten times total uva wins 9. they were not prepared mentally, and the game plan was horrible. then they rebound and have a decent season. if not for one bad interception in the red zone, and that leading to a touchdown right before half uva is in the acc championship game. it didnt happen, but they still had a decent season. so a terrible loss at the start of the season doesnt always mean its over. just like a big win over usc would not mean a successfull season if we do bad in the conference after that. i just want to see a competitive game with a strong usc team losing and then winning out the rest of the season

Yea the int wasn't in the redzone it was at about the 40 yard line. UVa still wouldn't have been in the ACC and they still suck and will get rolled over by USC. UVa always plays bad first game of season so now imagine it against the #1 team in the country to start the season. Yea BAD combination.

WRONG MORON. UVA has actually been known for starting out very strong and sometimes not finishing well or maybe losing a game they shouldnt. By the way it was not the 40 yard line go watch the game film and you will see it was closer than that. the bottom line is hokie fans cant live without UVA. just check out all of the hokie fans that just cant help creeping around on here just waiting to comment on us. Thats okay, no problem with me. I just thought you guys would be to busy with the action at Virginia Thug University. Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha(skeletor laugh) thought i would add that for your amusement.
