microbrew:  Dogfish Head 90 minute IPA  (OR  Victory's Golden Monkey Pale Ale)  (ALSO Abita Turbo Dog)

local microbrew:  Duck Rabbit Milk Stout OR Highland Gaelic Ale

import:  Westvleteren 12 (but hard to get)  AND Trappiste Rochefort 10  OR Delerium (any one, all great)  (these are a bit expensive to buy in bulk, but they're very strong too, which is nice).

Mexican
(because it doesn't fit with imports):  Presidente (might just be the new girl in school) and Tecate.

Cheap, tailgating, watered-down beer:  Miller Lite

Honey Brown is another one I forgot to mention, a good inside wintertime beer.  Looks to me like the good people at Anheiser-Busch wouldn't care too much for the results of this poll, considering I would have to say we are their biggest target market.

Yeah I know, was just thinking in terms of popularity I guess.  However, this conversation is making me thirsty and thinking maybe I should expand my horizons tonight as I grill my brats.

Any suggestions?

Many of the beers I listed are high gravity brews and some are available in liqour stores, as their alcohol content is higher then beers you can find at the convenient store.

I work at a place called the Flying Saucer Beer Emporium, which has 12 locations thoughout the Southeast.  I'm a bit spoiled when it comes to beer and when you have over 200 selections, it makes choosing very difficult.

You can check out the list of most of the beers, their descriptions, and ABV (list not completely up to date as beers are regularly added) by clicking here.

Also, because of distribution limitations, not every store carries the same beers and most of the locations do carry a few selections of "piss water" to cater to those who just don't like change..

Good place, they have nights where you can get any beer for 4 bucks, but last time I went, it seemed they were out of half the beers I wanted.
