Unbelievable! I just read all the pages and not one Avs fan popped up until after the game. Then it was you guys had fluke goals or unstoppable goals. Theodore was sick. Whatever? I was going to say the Avs had a good run at our beloved Red Wings but man it's tough to be complimentary when it just sounds like a bunch of excuses. Regardless of what you think Detroit Red Wings 1 and that other team none. Way to go Wings!!!!!!! See ya on Saturday! Wings in 5!

That was a pretty good game overall from the Avs. Goaltending was poor on both sides but Osgood made the big ones.

Top 3 reasons we lost.

1)Passing- It was simply horrible for the Avs. We waited until the Red Wing guy was already on top of us to try and make a pass.

2)ARNASON! Your not Forsberg! He should not be trying to handle the puck like that with 4 Wings on him.

3)Theo! What the hell are you doing playing if you were sick. If you are not able to play don't try to be a hero. He won us game 5 in Minnesota but lost us the game here.

Good morning, gentlemen (I haven't seen a lady on here yet). All in all, a good game by the Wings. Dominated the first, but for some reason took their foot off the gas in the second and allowed the Avs to get back in it. But overall, a lot of positives for the Red Wings.

To every Avs fan claiming that (1) Forsberg didn't play; (2) Theo was sick and (3) they almost came back, let me respond in kind:

(1) Yes, it's possible Forsberg would have made a difference. However, he didn't play, and that's playoff hockey. Keep in mind we had our worst defenseman (stupid Lilja) out there a lot, and when Brad Stuart gets back, Lilja's slow a@@ is back on the bench where he belongs. If Stuart is in, he gets to the puck before Ryan Smyth and prevents the first goal.

(2) As has already been pointed out, if Theo was that sick, he shouldn't have played. And for the people saying that Budaj was awesome, he was good, but not great. The Wings didn't generate a lot of good second and third chances against him.

(3) They didn't come back, and that's all that matters. The Wings showed in that first period what the Avs will have to contend with when they play up to their capabilities. They were skating rings around the Avs all period, and Colorado never got anything going. After the 4th goal, they stopped doing the little things (and if you watched any post-game stuff, every Red Wing player said they played poorly in the 2nd).

Basically, a good game. Colorado was everything I expected and more. I knew they wouldn't go away just because they fell behind early. But I think if the Wings play like they did in the 1st, they will win this series.

You are leaving out the main things about how good a player is. A good player can put up great stats, a great player can put up great stats and create plays for others to score without getting any stats at all except the plus for a plus minus. A great player should also be able to play D just as well as he can O.

If Theo is anything like me, he wasn't trying to be a hero. If he is anything liek me he was playing because he loves the sport and that game ment everything to him, just like any other game. If anyone has 4 opponents on them, they should not be trying to stick handle, because that means there are three of his team mates wide open. For the passing, the Wings got into the Aves heads early. Forcing them to make stupid decisions and when they did the right thing, they did it in a shakey way. plain and simple, the Aves were not ready for the game.

It would basically be the faster goalie would win. My coach would have me and my backup play 1 on 1 in practice and the faster goalie won most of the time. I am faster, but I have 35 pounds on him so after two scores for me I was done haha.
