Haha, I love how whitedude08 is desperately seeking attention like a little kid and we're just ignoring him and continuing to talk about our season. Keep it up, Beaver fans!
I think that this season could go either way. I'm going to be attending fall practice (well, watching at least), so I'll probably post my prediction after I've seen McCants and Jacquizz as well as our new D-Front in action. I think we could feasibly win 10 games, or quite possibly lose 10. It all depends on...
A) The Two Headed Monster of Moevao/Canfield. Can it be tamed into a genuine Pac-10 QB?
B) Developing a solid rushing game. Plenty of talent, no experience. We'll see.
C) Keeping the pressure on up front. Can this Beaver squad hold teams to minimal rush gains like the past years teams have?
D) Special Teams = Please Improve! Having Sammie back at Punt Returner will help, but a new starting punter and kicker will leave this important part of the game in the limbo.
I think that if we can do at least 3 of these 4 things decently, we'll have ourselves a winning season, hands down. If we can do all 4 decently, we can expect a visit to Las Vegas/El Paso.
However, if we do all 4 WELL, and that's a big if, I can see us heading to the Holiday Bowl. That's basically the ceiling I see for this year. Next year? They have the potenial to be the toast of the Pac-10 (behind USC).
