Don't think you got the point of my post. Freeman seems to think that just because alot of the foreign players are light skinned, somehow that will translate into me getting excited about the NBA again. I think it is natural for people to root for players they identify better with, but I am saying that I can culturally identify and relate to black players from the United States better than I can to some European guy who doesn't listen to the same music, eat the same food, go to the same schools that I did. I can relate and identify better with a guy like CP3 better than I can with a guy like Kirilenko, even though we may be the same ethnicity. To root for a white guy from Europe over a black guy from America only seems to be based on one factor from where I'm standing - race.
