Phillip Smith has left UCF

The Channel 9 website left it open as to whether he quit or was kicked off, saying their sources didn't know.

Phillip's ability to keep focus on football has always been a problem... Or is he upset about something that's wrong with the program... Or is this retribution for being one of the players who went to the Sentinel about the workout leading to Plancher's death...

A lot of speculation. But that's the point. I have felt dread every morning for the past few weeks, worrying what bad news or suspicions will be oozing out of the football program. GOL needs to get this under control. Perhaps Phillip leaving is part of that process. Who knows?

I hope not. If anything, it might be because of an injury. A member of my fraternity told me that they bumped into Smith on campus and found out that he had torn his anterior cruciate ligament. It's what I've HEARD. But, who knows...?
