thank you interweb...can anyone say Orlando Pace is a bust???

Jake long's the best player in the draft and fills one of their biggest holes on their team.  Even if it's not on the qb's blindside, he cant get the play going unless it has time to develop.

I dont think the Saints will give up enough to the Rams for the 2nd pick. I think they take Gholston. Is this the right pick.?  Who really knows. Physically he is off the charts. The game does actually require the mental half and if they draft him I hope he has it. If he does he could have double digit sacks which obviously would help the Rams tremendously. Opening more holes for the rest of the d to get though. Carriker, WItherspoon, and Little all getting after it. Thats exciting.  Go rams!

The highest paid offensive lineman in the NFL is now Jake Long. 30 million guaranteed, 57 million over all. Can anyone say Robert Gallery. I can't believe how stupid the NFL is when it comes to rookies. Baseball has the worst contracts in pro sports, but at least they don't give big money to people who have not played. Jake Long is in no way a guaranteed good LT, this is the same team that could not use Wes Welker, Chris Chambers or Damion McIntosh.

Taxed, Welker was traded for 2 picks and I think it wasn't a bad gig.  Chamber traded for a 2nd rounder for a team that needs to get young and had already given up on last season. McIntosh?  That was a huge loss alright.

I think Jake Long is the safest pick other than Chris Long in the draft.  If he pans out, and he looks like he should to me, he can be there for at least a decade.  A good LT can keep a team steady for a long time.

Strongo, how damn stupid are you?  The last LT taken was Orlando Pace and he sure as hell wasn't a bust.

Going right in, I'm a homer for the Tuna.

He knows talent and built a few teams with line-play first.  (OL:  Jumbo Elliot - UM).  The AFC East will be smash-mouth within a few years.  Yes BP is a defensive guy but protecting a QB is paramount.  The Fins will be formidible within two years.  Bank it.

Go NY Giants

i look at what Joe Thomas did for the Browns last year .all he did was make the pro bowl his rookie season.whoever pulls the trigger behind center for the browns knows his backside is covered.parcells is a meat and potatoes guy .it starts and stops up front .and parcells knows this .they already have a great running back in place so why not open some holes for him .i say good choice

This year has been the first year I've really paid close attention to the draft, but I had a few questions. My first questions is has it always been a rule that a number 1 can be signed a week early? I thought the teams could agree in principle, but I didn't know you could sign picks early. Also, could every team negotiate a contract with a few guys and make their decisions that way?
