Who should I add?

Scoring categories:  R, RBI, AVG, OBP, SLG, NSB
NSB = net stolen bases, but for the purpose of this poll, you can ignore it.

Some of my thoughts

Jackson is hitting well and producing so far.
Honestly though, the best thing he has going for him is his home park and teammates.

Jacobs is hitting homers left and right, he is also in his age 27 season.
His AVG could be pretty poor and his OBP could be downright horrible.

Kotchman is really hitting well right now and is even hitting a few homers.
Will he keep the power up or has he just been lucky?

Votto probably has the highest upside.  He is just starting to heat up.
Is he still a year away?  Is Don Baker actually going to limit his PT via Hatteberg?

Please tell me your thoughts and don't limit yourself to discussing my above comments.  Any relevant information on any of the players will be greatly appreciated.

All four players could be streaky throughout the year. However, out of the group, I think Mike Jacobs has the tools to be consistent all year long. As you mentioned above, he is in his age 27 year and now is the time for him to break out. Many thought he would be a future star when he came up and it looks like they may be right. Can he keep this going all year long? I sure hope so as I just picked him up off waivers and plan on using him in my utility spot!

Jackson could lose palying time when Tracy comes off the DL and the Diamondbacks need to fit Reynolds in.  Votto is still splitting time, even if he gets the majority of the playing time at first.  Jacobs and Kotchman will both be starting fulltime for their clubs.  I think you take Jacobs if you are looking for nothing but power and Kotchman if you want a more complete player.  All four will be good, but streaky, but those two stand out the one that will help the most for the remainder of the season.

I think it is a toss up between Kotchman and Conor Jackson.  Both will hit for high average and have great plate discipline.  Don't get carried away by early season stats.  Both of these guys are better overall hitters than Jacobs and over the course of a season, I would take either Kotchman or Jackson over Jacobs.  If HR was a category, then Jacobs would be more of a consideration.

I'd pass on Votto because he isn't getting full-time at bats right now.  Dusty Baker even said he thinks Hatteberg is a better hitter right now and because of that, the two will continue to platoon.

Without a doubt you should add Joey Votto.  The guy is a hitting wizard with power and he will hold a good average.

Thank you for backing up my answer Conor Jackson!  4-5 with a single, two triples, and a HR last night.  Jackson has notoriously slow starter too!  This could be the year he puts a good first half of the season together with a good second half.

Jackson for President!

As a Marlin season ticket holder I get to see Jacobs every night. Hes swinging the bat right now with as much power as anyone, already with 6 homers in his first 14 games. Not to mention a .296 average. Definately pick him up.
