Andre Caldwell is Florida's all time leading receiver? 1,500 career receiving yards? Really?

I saw on ESPN this morning that Joe Horn might want out of Atlanta. Now preferably i would want Chad Johnson, but if he's not available, what about Joe Horn?
He might have enough gas left in the tank for one more season and he could always stretch the field (that was about all he could do). Maybe even draft a WR and that would give him a year to mature and hopefully become a #1

I don't know if Horn's got anything left. i'd say no to that idea.

I wouldnt be against drafting a wide reciever in the draft but there are some drawbacks. there are other positions that need to be filled like safety and linemen, O and D. i don't think anyone knows what they'll do yet so everything is speculation. the one thing that does help alot is their willingness to trade away sheppard. i think they might have to pay too high a price to get chad johnson but i would love to see him or Roy Williams in philli. Torry Holt is too old to spend much on because he's on the down-side of his career. Andy Reid has a tendancy to draft linemen in the first round so they'll probably have to trade for the reciever. it would be nice if they could trade Lito Sheppard for a first round pick and adress two major needs in the first round.

Seth, I wouldn't count on getting a WR via trade. We can still get a good WR prospect in the 2nd-3rd rounds.

Long time reader..first post. Not sure if im doing all this right but help me out and "hello"
Malcolm Kelly! If he is on the board and we draft a different WR I would be happy but not estatic. Although I like D.Thomas I Like Kelly even more. Thomas can KR but honestly if he is/becomes a #1 anytime he

seems like Sweed, Thomas, Hardy are rising and Kelly, Manningham are falling. DeSean has been pretty steady for a while... he's kinda the wild card to me, Jackson could be drafted #12 by Denver or #39 to San Fran.... and anyplace in between. He's got the widest draft range of any player i see on the board.

yeah i know we could get future prospects in the draft but i was talking about ways to get the immediate results they want. i think kelly has the makings of a future disruption. i would like to see them draft the FS kenny phillips to learn from Brian Dawkins.

No on Joe Horn why the hell not!!?? The Eagles at the Wr spot are the fat nerdy kids before prom-take the best they can get! ATL is starting fresh with two big young Wrs(maybe a new Qb)-they werent planning on cutting him just reducing his PT. He is sure handed vet and very crafty-would be a huge boost in the red zone(alot of missed oppurtunities last year) He also did a good job helping both Stallworth & Colston develop. AND he blocks very well for a Wr. I love the Eagles-but I dont see them drafting a Wr high and I bet when they do draft one it wont be one of the 5-6 that we(I) really have heard of or seen play against high competition. 5th rder for Horn would be great-IMO 30-45 catches 4-6 Td's. Im sure Horn wants to win and playing for the Eagles may give him a motivational boost. I feel the window closing on the core of this Eagles team either we put all we got in getting Chad or put the best bodies we have on the feild-what we have aint cutting it. And Im still pissed we didnt try to get D.J. Hackett!!!!!!!!!

I have been saying since the TO fiasco that the Eagles needed another go to receiver, but I am here to recant that statement. I don't think the Eagle are truely looking for one or even need a go to receiver. If you look at the depth they have in the receiving corp, it is tremendous. Besides TO, name one super star receiver the Eagles have had in the last twenty years. Maybe Harold Charmichael but that is about it. They have been contenders with the likes of Barnett, Williams, Fryer, Mitchell, and now they have Curtis, Lewis, & Baskett. If you look back to years gone by they have been sucessful with good receivers but the key ingredient to a solid team has been a great receiving RB (Walker, Byars, and now Westbrook). That RB and a go to TE (which they have had great ones in the past), add up to a lot of weapons and a wide open field. As long as Westbrokk and Buckhalter can run effectively, they won't need a go to receiver to open up the offense. Just look at the Eagles record in the last ten years. They are finominal. Even this past year they have lost most of their games on their own with special teams mistakes and errors in the red zone. I used to get upset in the off-season watching the Eagles do practically nothing as far as free agency goes, now i just sit back and listen to Hank Williams say "Are you ready for some football". Because good or bad they are my Eagles. I cheered for them when they played 6 different quarterbacks one year and went 10-6. And I cheered for them two years ago when Mcnabb went down and Garcia came in and lit it up. EIther way it is always a memorable experience watching the greatest team in football history...THE PHILADELPHIA EAGLES!!!!!!!

I think Barnett was a go-to guy when he was healthy. Also, Mike Quick was good.

Oh goodness no to Joe Horn. Not only is there nothing in the tank, I think he's missing the tank. It would be similar to when we pulled Antonio Freeman out of retirement a few years ago. Can he run a slant and catch the ball? Sure. However, I don't think he would be any better than what we have now. [for example, I think I'd rather see what Avant can do a year later....]
