Grambling has a better football tradition than Montana State and probably is right on par with BYU.

Cat, your right I think Fresno still has a good OOC schedule  - best in the WAC and probably (although I have not checked) the best of all mid-majors.  Too bad about the K-State game since I think amongst the hard core college football fans a win at K-State is more impressive than a win at Rutgers (yeah, I know Rutgers is pretty good but maybe it is the memories of Bill Snyder) regardless I do think Fresno would receive more National recognition for defeating the Scarlet Knights simply because of the Dr. Strangelove factor.

Backer - No one is talking back home about who made the lousy decision.....seems no one wants to take credit for dodging Fresno....frustrating part of it is I was hoping we could get some revenge on the 2 losses.....

Fosty - I agree beating us would appear better....a lot will depend on how we and Rutgers do this year. I was just impressed they were able to replace us with a good team so fast. I'm embarrassed we backed out, but I do give us credit for backing out of a home game and not backing out of playing them there. When I went to the game in Fresno the fans said they had had a lot of teams back out of playing them in Fresno.

Any way you look at it..it stinks we did what we did. Everyone is speculating it is because our Big 12 schedule ended up ugly with 4 out of 5 games on the road in October. I say hog wash...

I'm gonna sneak my BSU prediction in here and hope my BSU pals don't read it...I think BSU will lose 4 games this year.....don't tell anyone I said that...

Fosty said: "Grambling has a better football tradition than Montana State and probably is right on par with BYU. "

Come on Fosty. You can't be serious right? You're going to compare Gramblings tremendous DII tradition to BYU's DI tradition. Fosty please, don't insult any somewhat intelligent football fans intelligence with this nonsense. The only thing Grambling has over BYU as far as "tradition" and program strength is their band. Is that what Nevada wanted to do? Go out and find the team that would provide the best halftime festivities? Right on par with BYU is a complete joke and you know it Fosty.

Haha i don't think there is anyways we can lose four games catfan. We only have one weakness right now and that is a very skinny o-line. They are tall and skinny maybe they will gain some weight.

Kobe.....there is always a way.....I just think even with the soft schedule BSU is do for an off year....hope I'm wrong....I just think there are a couple of teams on the schedule that can suprise you...we will see...things could go well and you could end up 13-0...

I just hope Peterson goes with one of the young QB's and developes him. 1 year senior starters will back fire eventually.

Kobe, as an FYI, ask any coach and player what the most important unit on a football team is and they will tell you Offensive Line. If you have a young, inexperienced, undersized offensive line, that spells trouble typically.

Yea, but how bad can they be. It isn't like we are in the SEC and have monsters coming at us every week. We play teams like Idaho and Utah States, who aren't very good. I think we should be fine.

Prfct, I respect your ability to homer for your team, but comeon man. You don't realistically think BSU is going to a BCS game this year do you? BTW, are you a Jim Rome fan per chance. War this, war that.

It will be very tough for BSU to make it to the BCS over BYU or maybe even Fresno State (even with a win over them, assuming they beat all their BCS opponents).  I'm just (apparently) the one guy here who thinks that Boise State is going to have a great year.  So many things working in their favor, but all everyone wants to talk about are the things working against them.

I'm predicting an undefeated season if we beat Oregon.  If we lose to Oregon, I'm predicting a 2 loss season.  Just my opinion.
