rejes made yet another blunder, that cost the Mets the game by not giving delgado a throwing lane to throw to witch would have been a sure doulble play on Ryan Howard.it's the little things like this that happens and makes the mets and thier fan wonder why they are not winning.

That wasnt Reyes fault, Delgado threw the ball and it hit Utley. How is that Reyes fault? But its Willie decision to keep using Sosa and Schoeneweis..that make Mets fan upset. Phillies won and there's no excuses, but you cant blame Reyes to create a throwing lane from a throw from Delgado. Utley mustve had a baseball magnet attached to him today...was hit by 3 pitches and a throw from Delgado. Well according to Hernandez the ball hit Utley.

MO,
Delgado hit Ut, yes. That said, Jose didn't set-up inside or outside the bag to take the throw, and that led to a limited throwing-lane error. Hernandez should have pointed that out, unless Mets' announcers don't say things like that about Reyes or Los Mets.

While I hate to agree with a Mo, I think he might be right about this not being Reyes fault. After watching the replay a couple times Delgado not only was the one that hit Utley but Utley made sure that he didn't have a good throwing lane.
Once again Utley gives up his body to help the Phillies win. That why he is a great player on this team and will win this years MVP. What I don't understand is why none of the Met's pitchers were tossed after Hitting him 3 times at the plate. I mean come on.....

Zero thats exactly what happened. Utley got in the lane to prevent that throw from Delgado. Which was a good play by him. If anyone watched Baseball Tonight, they wouldve seen it. Not to mention..where exactly do you want ur SS to set up on a play like that. He has to be on the bag. I dont think some of these blog jockeys ever played baseball competitively.

Tal..have u ever played baseball? I mean in uniform, kleets, etc. IT WAS NOT REYES FAULT. The commentators on baseball tonight...clearly pointed out, how Utley got in the throwing lane to PREVENT a throw from Delgado. Where do you expect Reyes to set-up? He has to be ON THE BAG, not to mention a throw from 1st to second, while there's a runner in the lane..is harder than you think or it looks. Because you have to throw around the runner. The 2B or SS job is to get to the bag..and catch the ball.. Not to create a lane. Sometimes the 2b or SS isnt even near the bag when the 1B is ready to make the throw.
Would you stop following me around like some butt pirate. If you gonna post anti-moses stuff, at least know what ur talking about. I know you've never in ur life..played baseball.

MO,
BTW, the Reyes play was pointed out by announcers who have played the game, and it's why Utley ran where he did when he saw where Jose was. You really try to bully your defense when it comes to that CUP CAKE, NO SHOW JOSE !! There's a reason why Utley is NOT the best, and Jose IS--not because he was an AS, but despite it--even though his performance since the AS Game have been beyond praise.
Because someone doesn't say it, doesn't mean the so-called best INF was w/o fault on that play. It is HIS job to try to get outs, and where he takes the throw is important. Anti-Moses?? LOL UNTIL GAME TIME !!

GUYS,
ONLY post if you agree w/ MO.
1- He can use your agreement to say even Phillies' fans know he's RIGHT !!
2- If you disagree you're stalking him, don't you know. He doesn't want to hear it, so don't do it.
3- If you were to REALLY follow him, you'd go to The Mets' board, and post on THE TEAM WITH NO HEART thread.

I'm actually going to have to agree with Mo here, It wasn't Reyes' fault in the least bit.
Utley made the kind of smart, intelligent play that we would expect from him, and because of that Delgado panicked and threw it when he really should have just held on to the ball and gotten the out at first at least, knowing he had no lane to throw.
