I totally agree, Pelfrey has the stuff to become a top of the rotation guy, he just needs to work on consistency and accuracy. He has shown flashes of what he can do, but also, and more often than not, hes shown what he does when he collapses and gets wild. With his mid-90s fastball and ridiculous sinker he could wind up being able to strike out the best of them ( I think he's got a change too, not too sure how good it is though). The El Duque injury was a blessing for him because its an opportunity for him to be the unquestioned 5th starter, ZERO competition for him right now. With any luck he'll string together 3-4 solid to good starts and officially earn the 5th starter job. If he develops we could have a great 1-4 for a long time in Santana, Maine, Perez, and Pelfrey.
