The SEC told Arkansas to cancel the game @ Texas to save face. After all, not too long ago Arkansas lost to USC @ Fayetteville, AK 50-17, but still won the SEC West, much like Tenn lost @ Cal last September, but Tenn still went on to win the SEC east. There is no way the SEC can have a division champ lose to an OOC team early season and still claim superiority; that is, unless tOhio State screws everything up. 2 years in a row a lame tOhio State team gave up a national championship to a weak SEC team. Hopefully the media won't make it 3 in a row. But the PAC-10, Big 12, and Big East can't take that chance. And, the SEC can't count on tOhio State for another free handout.
Georgia will probably lose to @ Arizona State since Georgia hasn't travel west of the Mississippi River, and north of the Mason Dixon Line, to play an early quality OOC game since the invention of the wheel. ASU coach Dennis Erickson will have the Sun Devils ready. And a top end PAC-10 team will always beat any SEC team.
Is it too late for Georgia to back out of the @ Arizona State game? No one should be surprised if the next cancellation is Georgia canceling the @ ASU game.

Wow, send me a link to those SEC memos!!! I love inside information.
Is Cal a top end PAC-10 team? Didn't they lose to Tennessee in Knoxville the year before? Maybe I'm a little fuzzy on the meaning of the word "always."

I believe you may be the biggest idiot on the entire site! What a band wagon moron you are. What a absolute dumb a$%! USC hugh? And the rest Illinois? Let me guess your next lie is you went there. How about winning a title sometime soon instead of choking all the time! Nice games against Stanford and Oregon last year! HAHA Oh by the way if you want a real easy non conference game schedule Ohio St or maybe Notre Dame, oh you already did! Watch a few SEC games on how th beat Ohio St, since they have never beat one!!! And those three big wins by Notre Dame last year, ohhhh, oh one was against a PAC 10 team! Shocker!! The PAC 10 is the 8th or 9th best conference in America, even the WAC and Mountain West are better. Maybe you should stick to basketball, oh, you all lost at that too!!! What a loser conference with an inferiority complex! SEC, all we do is win titles! Maybe some other conference will one someday, but not this year with three teams already preseason top10. Probably the worst set of coaches in all of D-1! Carroll (a monkey could win with that talent, but not him), Erikson (how many times do you have to lose and keep getting jobs), Slick Rick (another prime time loser) and finally ole Ty Willingham (another fired coach recycled in the PAC 10). SEC, 5 national title holding coaches! I often wonder why I respond to ignorance, but sometimes the monkey has to be put back in its cage!

How dumb can one person be? Apparently pretty dumb.
I could re-iterate the previous four replies, but they are all very accurate and found the mark, so why repeat the truth that has already been stated.
I will say this: The SEC is the #1 Conference in America. Big-time recruits want to play in the Southeast. So would you. The weather is nicer, the people are nicer, the lifestyle is nicer, etc. etc. And this is coming from someone born in PA who was fortunate enough to live in Georgia for eight years.
The SEC plays football on a higher level than any other conference. Just ask Ohio State. Critics would say: But the SEC loses bowl games to other conferences. To them, I would say, CHECK THE MATCHUPS. It's usually our #5 playing the other conferences #2. Because the SEC is so deep and has so many good teams, the teams on the lower end of the conference end up playing teams that were at the top of their conference. Anyone who doesn't know this, doesn't really know the Bowl System.
The bottom line: An SEC team has whooped up on a "Big 10 Super Team" the last two National Championship Games. And, the amazing part about it? LSU couldn't make it through the SEC Undefeated, but still beat the "MIGHTY BUCKEYES!" Let me just add that the Big 10 made it's name on beating up the Pac-10 and they can't beat the SEC in the big games.
You can Loathe It or Like It, but no matter what, you'll have to Learn It, because it is what it is. Don't be shocked if Georgia takes it's turn spanking a Big 10 or Pac 10 Patsie this year on it's way to a National Championship. If we are so blessed to win a National Championship, there will probably be a Pac-10 or Big-10 team to spank in the process.
THOUGH, I will say this, ALL SEC Fans know that the REAL NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME takes place in ATLANTA, EVERY YEAR!

o.k. first of all Georgia won't lose to ASU. Second didn't Cal try to save face because Tenn wipe the field with them the yr before.. Third OSU doesn't need to be in a game that they are not prepared for.. if you want to talk about weak take a look at the PAC-10 bowl record outside of USC it's atrocious.. if the SEC starts to become a cupcake conference (like the Pac-10) then we will start scheduling OOC games with big names. But until then we have to continue to beat up on ourselves with brutal conference games something that the PAC-10 knows nothing about.

The SEC told Arkansas to cancel the game @ Texas to save face.
And they told us to replace Texas with another Big 12 team. A team who has beat Texas the past two years. It seems like everyone is putting aside the fact the we play Texas this year in Austin. The 'joke' on the Hill is that the Razorbacks pulled out of the second game of the 2/2 because of Rick Barnes statement the he would pull the Horns out of coming to Fayetteville this year if his team was booed in Little Rock for the NCAA's.
2 years in a row a lame tOhio State team gave up a national championship to a weak SEC team.

Two things, first I think the SEC is much better than the Big Ten. The Big Ten is the worst of the BCS Conferences. Yeah worse than the Big East even. WVU Louisville and Rutgers could beat Michigan OSU and Wisconsin all day.
And second, while very good the SEC is not invincible. Their number 3 team (Arkansas) lost by 31 to Mizzou. So Missouri was the second best team in the Big 12. If the SEC is as great as you say it is shouldn't no. 3 at least make it close?

Arkansas was not the third best team! They were behind LSU, Tennessee, Georgia, Florida, Auburn and Kentucky. So at best they were Seventh. Maybe you need to check your stats before you talk. They may have been picked in bowl order higher because of McFadden. And the SEC was 7-2 in bowl games. Funny how people have to really look for a weakness. Can't vouch for the SEC, but Tennessee schedules atleast one big non conference game every year. UCLA next two, then Oregon the next two after that, then Oklahoma after that and then Ohio St, well we all know how Ohio St fares against the SEC so maybe that isn't so tough! So next years schedule has @ UCLA, Florida, @ Georgia, Alabama, @Auburn, plus 3 other bowl teams from last season. So 8 bowl teams next year.

Guys, No matter where these kids play,t hey are all 18,19, 20 year old kids! Michigan, Florida, Georgia, etc.......... It's not that the SEC dominates college football, it's that the SEC has so many great programs within it that it has earned a reputation of playing games that have NC Implications week in and week out. Georgia is ranked #1 but I'll stake a Ben Franklin that the Dawgs fall to the Gators led by a Healthy Tebow this year. The Vols, Bama, Auburn, Spurriers Gamecocks, Gators, Dawgs, LSU, etc... are solid 3 out of 4 years unlike Washington, Arizona, Oregon state, etc... which are only solid 1 out of 4 years. It's the sustained competitive level that sets the SEC apart from all other conferences. The BIG 10 plays some awesome ball some of the time. The SEC plays awesome ball all of the time. The PAC-10 has a great team, maybe 2 or 3 on a good year. The SEC has no less than 3 great teams every year surrounded by 3-4 other very good ones. Once again it's not the SEC has better talent, it's just that they maintain a higher expectation from their conference than any other and fullfill that expectation year in and year out. I need to go cook some dinner now, so you guys have fun arguing, those of us with absolute knowledge know the real truth though.

Mississippi State was better than Kentucky and Auburn, the proof is on the scoreboard. We dominated the mildcats at lexington and beat very average auburn team at auburn.
1. LSU 2.Tennessee 3. Georgia 4. Florida 5 . arkansas 6. MSU 7. Auburn 8. Kentucky
