Aaron Harang wore the name "Nuxhall" on his jersey for opening day in tribute to Joe Nuxhall, who was a member of the Reds organization for almost sixty years, and also the youngest person ever to play an MLB game.

Yeah your right, it was great. They wore the jerseys when they were first introduced then changed into their normal jerseys with only Aaron Harang wearing the Nuxhall 41 on his game jersey.

I did not read the article but I wrote about it in my blog about opening day, and the best part...

was that the Reds are going to sell the jerseys with the proceeds going to the charity that Joe started in Cincinnati to help children.

Way to stay classy Cincy...Joe is will always be missed....he was Reds baseball for quite a long time.

Good stuff. I like when teams pay homage to those who have been important members of their organization.

And so you guys know, I just voted you guys as a surprise team and explained why I think you guys can win the central in another thread, but it was ignored due to a Cubs and Brewers fight.
