Anyone heard if the Giants are still interested in Crede or anyone else?

I think the interest in Crede has kind of faded but I've been hearing a bit about a deal including Molina and some others for Kotchman and the Angels Catcher lately But who knows if something like that will go through anytime soon.

Well, thus far at least, Crede appears to be healthy. Depending on who the White Sox would want in return, might be a good pick-up for the Giants.

Yes he does appear healthy now but anything can happen to Crede. Plus it wasnt what the White Sox wanted for Crede it was pretty much what the Giants had to offer for Crede that I think killed the deal pretty much plus the Giants also now have Castillo and Velez Platooning at 3B so I dont know yet if it would have been a good pick up. A better pick up might have been the Angels 1B Kotchman and their catcher for Molina, Messenger and Misch I think anyways.

We definitely need someone I'm not sure he's (Crede) it. I think we need more pitching and hope our young guys give us a boost on offense.

The last thing I heard about the deal for Crede was that the White Sox and Giants were miles apart as to whom the White Sox would receive.  Considering the White Sox have a future everyday third baseman in Josh Fields, Crede is known to be expendable.  Crede will probably end up with a team who wont be desperately dependent on his productivity as much as the Giants would be, and are willing to pay more.  Given Crede's recent health concerns and proximity to free agency eligibility, the Giants should pass on him and pursue someone when the timing is better (i.e. when a player will truly get them over the hump with a better roster).  Crede is not that kind of solution since the Giants are going nowhere this season.  I keep my fingers crossed that Sabean chooses the high road.

I think Ty Wigginton from Houston would be a better plug at third. Plus he's like Aurilla in the sense he plays more than one or two possitions. Houston and San Fran, two teams going no where and could use help...

If he's anything like Aurilia he will end up batting about .215 and looking foolish in most of his at bats.
