man, it hurts to say this as a heels fan, but FTBALLGENIUS nailed it! hansbrough was just outmatched by 2-3 guys at a time tonight. if i were a coach and had 3 guys to throw at him, i'd do the same thing. the only other person to really show up was danny green, maybe ellington, but not when the heels really needed them. too many mistakes down the stretch for the heels, and too much kansas. hope kansas plays this good monday night.

i would agree, collison and lawson are close, but rose is just fantastic, his size makes him that much more appealing at the next levelThere's no doubt Rose will be the best pro. Skill, size, speed and the NBA swagger. But in college, outside of John Calipari's and Lute Olsen's systems, those types of players aren't encouraged to be like that while in college. Play within the system, blah blah blah. Lute Olsen's and John Calipari's system is free-for-all almost.

Did I nail this earlier post or what??? I told you I know basketball and I know talent and tonight Hansbrough's stock fell faster than the sunset at 12am.Ty's stock as a pro prospect was never high to begin with. Look at all the mock drafts, scouting reports by NBA teams, they all have Ty behind A LOT of players.

What I meant to say was Collison was matched against another great player, and saying that collins is a lesser player was not the right thing to say but I don't think Colins (KU) had anything to do with Lawson lack of showing up. Collison is a very good player didn't mean to take that away its just mark my words Rose will be the best guard out of that bunch when its all said and done.

and he never was really that much of a defensive stopper. i've been able to stop much better players than me by staying on the floor and not jumping with them. just getting a hand in their face and being able to force them into bad shots is usually enough.

I know lockout-d, I've been a Ty Hansbrough doubter since his freshmen year. But with everything this year it heightened my resolve. Then again, I just take a step back and think how many Naismith Award winners turned out to be great pros? The list is long with guys that didn't do well. So that's my solace, watching another individual fail. My elementary teacher always told me I didn't play well with others . . . I guess she was right.

OK yoshi347mura, I get what you're saying now. It's obvious Rose will be the best pro out of the class of guards that go into the draft.

cmbs, don' t get me wrong. i'm a heels fan, and i love hansbrough, he plays as hard as anyone, but he's not the guy to stop someone. but in a way, that's playing smart so he won't get in foul trouble. but he just doesn't have the nba flash. he'll probably wind up drafted by a decent team who might be able to use him off the bench. i hate it for him, though. he wants a championship, and he can't deliver when other guys don't show up to play, or when he gets triple teamed. he needs to work hard in the off season on passing out to open teammates when doubled, and on his outside game, and especially his footwork to become a more complete player.

Wow! What a game by the Hawks! I just heard the best line... "Since Roy left, North Carolina has been trying to play Kansas basketball." I knew it wasn't going to be a blowout but I love my Hawks' toughness when it became a 4-point game. Roy has always had problems playing a Bill Self-coached team and he stayed true-to-form tonight. Thank you for the memories Roy and thank you for not changing! North Carolina and UCLA deserved to be there but two other great teams prevailed. Go Hawks and good luck to Memphis! One more game, one more battle. Kansas is not done yet!
