one of the great, gritty players of this generation...I loved him when he was in California, helping the Angels win their world championship...

then to St. Louis, where he had a huge hand in their championship

now on to toronto, and he may not win a championship there, but i still love seeing him kick some tail (special when it is boston or NYY)

There is a very good chance Eck will win another in TO. do NOT look past the Blue Jays this season if they stay healthy. That's one of the best pitching staffs in the majors. IF Vernon Wells & Overbay can get their bats productive, this will be a tough line-up to beat with Eck, Matt Stares/Shannon Stewat setting the table. You've got Rios, Wells, Overbay, Thomas, Rolen, and Aaron Hill (who will challenge for the batting crown this year) all drooling...

I also love what I've seen from him this year. He works so hard every at-bat and might have the best baseball IQ in the game. He's becoming a fan favourite quickly. Same with my boy Tallet what studs....

Tomorrow is a huge game for the Jays, they rarely swept any series last year and seemed to have a 2 outta 3 is good enough attitude.  That needs to change and sweeping the defending champs would be a great start in changing that attitude and getting that killer instinct that was so lacking last year!
