I agree on Curtis Martin, I am not sure anyone could really disagree with it. I think when it is all said and done for Fitzy he could possibly be up there if he can keep putting up monster numbers and stay healthy...thats a long way away though.
Im with you bruschi there has been nothing since signing day anywhere. The only thing I have even read was stupid spring ball talk saying "Oh who will be QB for Pitt?" Like that is a big surprise that I need to go and read about how we have no set QB. Practice starts in like 2 weeks though I think so maybe it will start up again with that?
All I know is it is going to kill me when it gets back into the full swing of things and I am not living out there anymore.
Agreed guys...we need to keep the chatter going. Lets get creative and work on that. My only excuse is Pitt B-ball and Pens hockey have taken precendence. I did buy my season tix though!
Seems like it would be Curtis Martin. However, the other possibility might be Russ Grimm, one of the best OL of the 80's...he might get in before Martin.
I agree...the obvious answer is Curtis Martin. The guy just retired and is among the NFL greats (in terms of stats) at his position. There is no way he won't make it.
The real question is this...do any young and current NFL players (i.e. - Fitzgerald) have the chance to make the Hall...
I think that Fitz is the only young Pitt player who has shown enough to be thought of that way. He has to keep this up and stay healthy for another 6-8 years or so to be really considered in the end. Other than him though, I would argue that no one else has a real shot...(I am not including Revis because it will only be his second year and who knows how productive he will be, he may be great but he is way to young to even consider.)
