I just was wondering, if Carolina is unable to land a stud for LT, Clady, what are the odds that we look to get a left handed QB so then our best lineman ,Gross, is guarding his blind side. Though with this draft having 0 lefties, I find it hard to believe that we would go in that step, but just wondering if we might look to aquire one.. Any thoughts?

My thoughts.......Thats absolutly rediculious to asume that because we might not get clady then we will sign a lefty. I sorry I just find that stupid to say.

You must of misunderstood what i was saying. I didnt say that we need to go out and get one, just wondering if we would look into it sometime. Just to clear some other things up, I'm not saying Jake shouldn't start, or that we sell the farm for a lefty, just wondering if we look to pick one up for when Jake is gone to better suit our O line.

Stefon LeFors was a lefty, but we know what happened to him. I don't know if any of this year's QB draft prospects are lefties, anybody know of any ? (Tim Tebow of Florida - but next year).

As far as free-agent lefties; Jared Lorenzen (the Hefty Lefty) was tendered by the Giants for another year, and Mark Brunell signed for 2 years with the Saints. If the Buccaneers cut Chris Simms - he's the only other option for the Panthers. Maybe he'd like to reunite with his spleen ?

Well to your question I think we should stand pat. And not go searching for a lefty. What you should really look for in a QB is skill not if he throws right handed or left and witch would be better suited for the line we have. Thats my take,

Yea getting Vick would really help us if we would ever make it to the super bowl against the Browns... Im sure he would just kill the dawg pound...

Of course coming from jail im sure he has a bigger hole than the lineman created for him while he was in Alanata. I wonder what is more intimadating, seeing Julius Peppers running at him, or Bubba?

We're not going to draft a QB or sign one a one that isn't a rookie. People need to thinking about this. It's not going to happen. Either Jake Delhomme is going to start or Matt Moore is. Brett Basanez is going to be the 3rd string or practice squad. We may sign a rookie as well but forget about drafting one or siging a big name dude.

The point is moot. The reason LT is the most important O-line position is because most QB's are right-handed and the LT covers their blindside. If the QB was a southpaw, RT would become the most important position on the O-line. In other words, players don't excel on one side or another, they excel at being the blindside protection. You would just flip-flop your tackles.
