Is there any doubt that Hansbrough deserves Player of the Year? I think with about 10 minutes left the announcer said that he was one assist away from a triple double. Obviously he wasn't, he only had one assist, but that seems to be the only thing he can't do. He destroyed a well above average opponent, and controlled the game for the Heels. He showed his versatility and played good defense, holding Padgett to six points on 1 of 5 shooting. He showed just as much hustle as he has all season, and I don't remember many turnovers. Because of Louisville's defense on Lawson, he even had to carry the ball up the court a few times. He played incredible, backing up his case for player of the year, and I'm not going to give reasons why Beasley doesn't deserve it because he played great this year. The bottom line is, Hansbrough played better.
GO HEELS!!!

I think the major factor of Psycho T being player of the year over Beasley is that he has carried his team into the final four and has a very good oppertunity to be a champion. Beasley has skills, but couldn't carry his team likie Tyler can. Sure, carolina has the supporting cast, but Tyler makes that team go, and if he wasn't there, they wouldn't be in the final four.

Beasley deserves it, hands down the best player the game of basketball has seen since Lebron James.

Come on out Louisville fans. Oh, to the folks who doubted UNC, I'm waiting on the "Louisville was terrible" excuse.

What sealed the deal for me was when Lawson went out and Hansbrough put them on his back and put up numbers equally as good as Beasley averaged. He didn't need to put up the stats that Beasley did to compete save for a 6-7 game stretch, but when they needed him most Hansbrough was every bit as dominant, if not more, than Beasley.

Lebron What?
If Beasley is hands down the best player in the country, why couldn't he at least carry his team to the 16 or 8. Tim duncan, Greg Oden, Carmelo, ....... all did it.
Hansborogh is the best player on the best team. Did you see the game tonight, he willed them to the victory, he dominated the last 5 minutes.
To the victor goes the spoils baby!
Note to all teams left:
Did anyone see Lawson run around Pitinos hearlded trap defense, or us beat the best D in the country last week by 30. If you want to beat us you better score 95pts and hope we shoot under 50% from the floor.

Amazing these people are talking about Beasley, he's a great player and will be great in the pros, HOWEVER, I've said it before and will say it again, he's really the ONLY option on a team that didn't win their conf or tourney championships, lost in the second round of the NCAA tourney (as opposed to Love and Hansbrough), and was on a team that lost 10 or more games. Forget about Beasley until the draft, he doesn't have a shot.
It comes down to Hansbrough and Love, it's Hansbroughs' to lose, but after tonights game Love would most likely have to be the tourney MVP while being the clutch performer in the Final Four and Championship games, while UNC would have to lose in the FF with Hansbrough having a horrible game in order for him to lose it.
People always seem to forget that it's the best player in college basketball, not who's going to be the best future NBA player.

im not forgetting that its about who's the best college player, yes Beasley will be the better NBA player but not only that, he was the third leading scorer in the nation and the leading rebounder, how do you not give it to him.
