Which Team are you rooting for?????

I dont know if its just me but it seems like there is an abundance of Wisconsin fans on this sight, some with High BB IQ's and some NOT.

Just Curious but who are you rooting for in the MIdwest Regional

I think my name is pretty clear on who I'm cheering for.

The poll is showing that Wisconsin and Kansas have the most fans, which is what I would expect because Wisconsin is fourth on the list of most members' favorite team and Kansas is 6.  Wisconsin has jumped up from 6th since the start of the year.  Nice.

Good Point "goSconnie", the main reason why I created this poll is that i cant believe 60 percent of the people on this site actually believe Wisonsins Defense is better then KU's.  When you hold the ball for 20-30 seconds to control the tempo of the game you are going to give up fewer points because of you style of play.  This doesnt mean you have the best defense.  60 percent of people on this site are rooting for Wisconsin, 59 percent say they have a better defense.  40 Percent say Ku has a better Defense, yet only 26 percent are rooting for the Jhawks.  Regardless its just numbers and anyone can Win 1 game.  Im a Big Ku fan and really am hoping both teams survive upsets tonight.  A matchup of the Big 10 and Big 12 tourniment Champions to see who goes to the final 4 somthing i want to see 

Let's face it seyheykid, of the 60% who think Wisconsin has a better defense, 95% have most likely never seen more than ESPN highlights of Kansas.

I don't have time to watch college basketball 24/7, I am lucky living in Minnesota, if I get to see most of the Badger games. I think what Badger fans really feel is that Wisconsin has a great defense and that is how we win. Whether it is better than Kansas's defense is irrelevant because it is all relative to the quality of the offense. If KU and UW play, my opinion is KU wins because although UW may hold them to 7-10 pts below their average, it is highly likely that KU will hold UW to 7-10 below their average and that favors KU.

I am not one of those that is totally convinced that Wisconsin has a better defense athletically. However you pointed out yourself that they do hold the ball for 20-30 seconds, so wouldnt this suggest a good amount of skill considering that the other team is trying to take possesion for those 20-30 seconds? Also I believe that the opponents shooting % for Wisconsin is one of the lowest in the nation. Not saying better than Kansas just saying they are good. and anything can happen in one game. Keeping the ball longer and slowing the tempo and holding down opponents shooting % is all about strategy and coaching but it does take some skill for the players to accomplish this in any conference.

Good luck against Nova, (If the Badgers do somehow go to the Final Four I want it to be because they beat an elite team not another double digit seed)

I think you just focused on the key to that matchup, if Wicsonsin can hang onto the ball for those 20-30 seconds and get good shots against that defense they have a really good chance to win the game. Im rooting for Wisconsin tonight as well for the same reasons, and to be honest didnt watch any of Wisonsins regualr season games, but they look very well coached from what ive seen!  I think the Big 10 is the most Underated Conferece this year with the ACC being the most Overated!  That said I truly think whoever comes out of the Midwest can win a Matchup against UNC IF they get by Louisville.   Should be a great night and goodluck!!
