As im sure you all have heard the rumor that he is transferring, or at least thinking about it, and I was just wondering if anybody had any idea that he would want to come to UK, especially because his brother went there. Let me restate the question, who thinks if he actually transfers that he will want to come to UK?

While it would be a feel good story and with the recent words from Joe Crawford about CBC...his development over the last year...I doubt UK goes after him...even if he wanted to come to UK.
I think UK has a bigger need right now than Jordan Crawford...a low post player to go with PPat and PSteve and/or a pure, I mean pure 2G to fill it up with Jodie Meeks next year.
I like Jordan, he's got some game....but I can't see UK going that route when we have a the players needed most within our grasp!

Word is that us and Michigan St. are his two teams he is interested in. If he did transfer, he wouldnt take up a scholly until 09-10 season, because he will be sitting out a year. I see no problem going after him, but Hopson is still loking hard at us, and Ebanks is rumored to want to visit us, so I think it will decide on them 2.

Rivals.com states that Ebanks is considering texas, memphis, rutgers, and a new player in west virginia are in the running. Scout.com says ebanks isn't going to start from scratch with an open recruitment, and he's going to be chosing between 2-4 schools and notify them that he's interested. They say that Memphis, rutgers, texas are the 3 he's prominantly considering at this point. So i highly doubt that at this point in time kentucky is in the running considering he's only notifying schools he has a relationship with already that he's considering them and isn't going to be listening to new teams, and kentucky never recruited him.

I would love it if Crawford Jr. transferred to UK. He is an excellent player and would be a great asset to our team.
Has anyone heard anything about Verdell Jones? I saw something about him on Cats Pause, but couldnt read the entire article.

I think Verdell is the backup if hopson signs elsewhere. he traded visits with gillispie the week of the florida game.
Crawford is a definite possibility imo.
Joe on CBC:
From the Herald-Leader
So there were Gillispie and Crawford locked in that bear hug. Then there was Crawford with a towel covering his face, obviously in tears, needing to compose himself. When the first question came, Crawford couldn't answer. He needed a little more time.
"He's done more for me than a lot of people in my life," Crawford said. "He changed the outlook everyone had on me. He changed me as a person. He got me believing. He's done so much for me and I love him for that. I don't know how I could repay him, ever."
If you dont think that he will put in a good word to jordan, you are crazy.
