It's a weird team to watch. I would not be surprised by anything they do. They have inconsistent, but occasionally unbelievable shooting. The frenetic pace and smothering defense Pearl may help the Vols out too. Plus, JP Prince has a whole three days to get better. No problem. I mean the two teams in the way of the final four are just average anyway.

LOL haha
The point? Vols might have trouble going much fart
That's really great.
Back to topic though, I really hope you are right about Tenn having a shot, because in one of my 3 brackets I have Tennessee in the Final game. I have absolutely no idea what I was thinking, good thing I paid for another bracket to be put in that pool with much more sane picks. The similarity between the two brackets? Gtown not making it past Wisconsin. Kudos to me, and good luck to the Vols, and I certainly hope they don't have trouble going fart

That's funny, I've been berating my wife all weekend for putting a Tennessee and Vandy matchup in the final four, she actually has the Vols winning. They have a deep and athletic team, and I think the Pearl is a good coach, but he's got pretty much no options at this point. I imagine the UL press will cause total havoc in the UT backcourt and they'll get into a big hole early. If they can solve the pressure they can probably mount a run, otherwise I think UL wins.
It always helps when Lofton goes off for 25 points or more.

HAHAHAHAHA. That has to be a joke. I mean, I assume you are referring to Louisville and North Carolina. Lville is one of the hottest teams in the tournament. The return of Padgett has re-energized that team, and they can compete with anyone in the nation.
On the other side, North Carolina is on fire. They are the overall number 1 in the tournament. They have won 13 straight games. It appears that Lawson is finally back to 100%, and that UNC's offense is clicking on all cylinders. Tonight's dismantling of Arkansas (a team that beat Tennessee just a few days ago) demonstrated the potential of UNC's offense. Tennessee is a great team, but they have will need to play a great couple games to get through Louisville and North Carolina.
They are not "just average" teams.

i would LOVE to see padgett play roy williams's carolina team. dave was one of roy's recruits that he abandoned when he jumped ship for chapel hill...you want storylines, the only way it could get better is to see that followed by roy testing his pledge to never coach against the jayhawks in the final four.
well, the only way it could have gotten better since the selection committee didn't set up a huggins/k-state matchup for us

No, I call that irony. I watched the games this weekend. I mean, I'm a fan, but I'm a realist too. I even failed to mention the other team in the East bracket, WSU, whose defense may give UNC fits. They made Notre Dame look stupid. UT was the only team not to absolutely demolish their opponent. I will say that I think Butler is better than UA, ND and OU, but maybe that's because they played us so tough. Anyway, I do think that UT can play a great game and beat some of the best teams, but they will have to play as well as they possibly can. They have the third leading three point shooter in NCAA history, so while it may not be probable, it is possible.

The two teams in the way of tennessee are a littlbe bit better than average. considering north carolina is the best team in the tournement, tyler hansbourgh hasnt even played well yet they have still blown out their first two oppnents, with ty lawson back there is no one slowing them down

Tennessee is going to be fine. People that write articles like this forget that tournament basketball is significantly different than the regular season. Teams play inspired knowing it could be their last game.
My point: Tennessee is advancing whether they played good or bad. That is all that matters.

Here's the thing. Is it tough being stupid? Here's a lesson.
Irony: a: the use of words to express something other than and especially the opposite of the literal meaning b: a usually humorous or sardonic literary style or form characterized by irony c: an ironic expression or utterance
By saying that Louisville and UNC, and in fact also WSU, are "just average" I was employing irony.
