Long Ball Question...

Just wondering what you think the Twins will do regarding the long ball this year. The past 3 seasons, we've hit between 118 and 143. How many HR's will we hit this year?

	When you look at the roster, the young talent is maturing. Many of their hits will be for extra bases this year - Morneau and Mauer (like Mantle and Maris?) could be the new M&M boys. We just need to make sure they continue to turn the fans on when the Twinkies are batting! Push those balls into the stands - do your part to help the home team. The Twins should hit over 150 HRs this year.

	I think they'll hit less than last year. Whose gonna make up the 30 from Hunter? My guess would be around 10 less HR's than last season.

	5 more each from Kubel, Mauer, and Cuddyer. 20 from Young and definitely more from Monroe and Lamb this year than White and Punto last year.

	Going through the lineup by postion: C- Mauer should increase his total by around 5 and hopefully finally hit for some power. 1B- Morneau should be around the same 2B- Harris should hit around 10 which is 10 more than Castillo SS- None from Everett which is 5 less than Bartlett 3B- Lamb should hit 15 more than punto RF- Cuddyer should be the same CF- Gomez will hit between 5-10 which is 25 less than Hunter LF- Young should be around 25 which is 25 more than Tyner/Ford DH- Kubel and Monroe should hit around 20 which is sadly 20 more than the DH last year. That looks like an increase of around 40 home runs and writing that I realize how painfully optomistic that is.

	my home run predictions are as followed: C- Mauer---------15hr 1B- Morneau---- 37hr 2B- B.Harris------10hr SS-A.Evrett--------3hr 3B- M.Lamb-------17hr LF- D.Young------21hr CF-Gomez--------16hr RF-Cuddyer-------22hr DH-Kubel----------14hr DH/OF- Monroe----12hr so thats 167 it self, add another handful from some other bench guys and there right around 170 for the year.....just my wishful thinkin

	Yeah your right the 30 HR's from Hunter will be hard to make up,but Delmon Young looks like he could probably sometime in his career have a 30 HR season!!!!!!!!!!

	Mauer won't hit 15 I think Morneau might top 40 thought. First year after the plagued Home-run derby second half. Ryan Howard did horrible second half after his Home-Run derby. Then just look at last year. he blasted 50 home runs. Hopefully Young and Cuddyer both have over 20. I don't think kubel will get more than 10 I don't think Gomez will get more than 10, but who knows, that's still possible
