Before the game every single commentator and analyst said Kent St. would win. Joe Lunardi said "Kent State's the better team and they'll prove it when they beat the Rebels". What are these jackasses thinking at halftime with the Rebels up 31-10? What a first half. Kent St. is a good ball club, but they haven't seen this kind of defensive pressure all year, and they certainly haven't seen anyone like Rene Rougeau......ever.

I bet they're thinking it's Kent St. is playing bad and this game has nothing to do with our defensive intensity. Our program is back, let's just keep winning and shut these commentators up.

First of all thank god for MMOD or else I would not have been able to watch the game.
Secondly, Can we get these talking heads on ESPN to please shut the F%#K UP!!!! Last year and this year they all talked about how we were going to lose and we just keep winning!!!! All week I heard how great Kent St. defense is, How athletic they are, how we just don't match up against them, how UNLV is going to lose badly!!!!
Obviously they have not seen a single game that was played by the Rebels this year. Looking up box scores, and reading recaps of the games online is not going to inform you! My advice to all these talking heads is come out to the west coast and watch us play!!!!
Instead of crying about how Va. Tech didn't make it in the tourney, why don't you pull out some game film and take a good look at the REBELS and the MWC!!!!!

We will ger our respect when we upset KU next round, UNLV plays great defense, scores on turnovers, can shoot a high percentage and has a great smart coach. Look out Jayhawks, here come the Runnin Rebs!

Personally, I had you guys as a lock in this game, because you didn't get matched up against a team with good physical big men down low. I really think BYU is going to lose tonight because of that. Man, Kent State was pathetic. Does anyone really think they were deserving of that 9 seed?

All of these "experts" need to pay attention because there's some quality basketball out here in the West coast thats not in the Pac 10. Maybe if you consider yourself an expert in something that you actually follow the entire sport. Pure ignorance, there's nothing worse.
I hope BYU can also get a win tonight, although they definately have a tougher draw than us. That was a weak call last night against UNM. The guy they called a foul on didn't even touch the guy and Giddens got all ball. At least it was a good showing.
How high do you think a win Saturday would rank on an all time list for UNLV. This team has the least overall talent than any other UNLV Tournament team, and an upset of a #1 seed would be HIIYUUGGE!

All these commentators don't have a clue what kind of team UNLV is. They aren't the most talented team in the country, but they play great defense, they have a ton of heart, they work really hard, and of course, they are extremely well coached. Kansas is absolutely loaded, but if they are off just a little, they're in trouble. UNLV is playing such good basketball right now its unbelievable.
