We traded for him a couple of weeks ago, so I just wanted to ask what is everyone's opinion on him. Kirk Snyder has been on the Timberwolves for 4 or 5 games now and he has already worked his way into the starting line up, given that it is because Corey Brewer is out tonight. I haven't been able to watch him play yet, so any information would be appreciated.

He sure is an energy guy, he's a psycho, he gets too hyped up! He already has like 5 technicals!

I realy had no idea who he was but I do like the intensity he plays with. He also has some talent, he was one pick after Al Jefferson in the same draft. Maybe the wolves might keep him for one more year to see how he fits with this team.

He's definitely made the most of his try-out. There's a good chance the Wolves try and keep him for at least one more year, as the market for him will be shallow. Plus, look at the Wolves roster is looking like for next year:
Jefferson, Foye, Telfair, Gomes, Smith, McCants, Madsen, Brewer, Jaric, Richard, Doleac, Walker, draft picks.....
That't not very encouraging. I would expect, for at the very least his D and willingness to do the little things, that Kirk Snyder will get another year to prove his worth as a Minnesota Timberwolf.

He really hasn't done anything so far. I can't believe we instantly start him but never got around to giving any time to a much more talented player in Green. I want him on the bench not getting much time, because like I said, he doesn't contribute anything. We already got an energy guy in McCants anyway.

Well he must be doing something right, he's actually still on an NBA team. Gerald Green got let go by the Rockets yesterday. He's playing good defense and thats why he's seeing more time than Green did while he was here.

Kirk Snyder has brought some intensity & defense w/ him to the Timberwolves and hopefully it will be contageous. He has shown that he isn't afraid to take it hard to the rack either. Unfortunately, his outside shot is mediocre at best. He needs to keep bringing energy, because every game there are some players not bringing it. Snyder got new life when he came from the Rockets and seems to be making the most of it. He's a role player though, like most Wolves.

He has been great (but a little crazy)
I was really disappointed when Corey Brewer got injured because he has been struggling a lot with offence this year, but the 2 games before his injury he had 14, and 15 points, and i thought he was finally warming up his jump shot, im hoping for him to keep playing well

I haven't see any evidence that Snyder should be in the NBA, much less getting as many minutes as he does. He's a liability on the floor and loses every pass thrown to him. He has high energy, but what does it matter when he's always so out of control? It was nice to get rid of Green, but Snyder sucks, too. I do love watching this young team in action and no longer think the Timberwolves got the short end of the deal...even though I still miss KG and am horrified for him that he has to play in that crappy city and state. Ditto for Randy Moss and Laurence Maroney on the Patriots?! Ugh.
McHale needs to go yet, of course. Too many seasons of ineptness in management. Beno Udrih anyone?

Nice...first you're logged in then you're not, then you are. Then your post is not there, then when you post again, there's 2 of them. Now I remember why I don't post here very often.

Lets look at this trade again.
a second round pick and Kirk Snyder (last nights line, 15pt, 4rb, 2ast, 7of 7 from the line)
for
Gerald Green (last nights line, looked at self in mirior 5 time, ate 3 bags of cheetos and 1 cupcake sitting on the couch watching the Rockets go 21 strait!).
Great trade!

You got a Jewel. I had the pleasure to watch Snyder play in college, and let me tell you, that guy can take it to the rack with the best of them. He sure is fun to watch.

In my opinion Snyder has earned himself a spot on next years team. He may not be an All-Star but he is solid. He will give you good D, occasionally some O, works hard and seems to be a good person/teammate (unlike G. Green).
