Assuming NMSU closes out the game tonight against Idaho, it will be a NV-NMSU showdown.  I think Nevada is the better team overall talent wise but NMSU is a bit more experienced and have a HUGE homecourt advantage.

Who is going to win? I think it is too close to call.

If we play like we did tonight, than NMSU will dominate us.  Kemp, Armon, and Fields, all had 3 points at the half.  We looked terrible.

Unfortunately, I agree with back the pack.  We were aweful.  I think we were like less than 30% from 3 point land and only about 43% overall fgs.  But, with that said, maybe we got the crap out of the way and can bring our A-game because I know its there.  These guys just look lethargic right now.  Are they hung over out there?  Anyone know what time we play NMSU tomorrow?

We definitely played ugly tonight, but the Wolf Pack has always played down to their competition. I think we'll step up it and play with confidence vs a good Aggies team because we know we can beat them. I think we should win but it will come down the refs. I guarntee it

That has been their problem all season - inconsistency!  It's so frustrating.  Throughout the year, they have often looked lethargic - especially on the defensive end.  Tonight, they were still good enough to beat an undermatched Fresno State team.  It won't be enough to beat NMSU, Utah State, or Boise State.  They have to put it all together for the next 1, or hopefully 2, games....and then beyond.

Here are some positive things to take from tonight's game: they outrebounded FSU by 7; Kemp had 9 boards; Johnson had 7 boards; McGee had 22 points,12 boards, and 4 blocks; they had 9 total blocks; decent bench contribution (particularly LaGrone who had 4 points and 5 rebounds in just 9 minutes); and they got the Win.

I could easily point out many negative things, but at this point in the season there is no need - They got by Fresno State and that is all that matters.  Next up in NMSU and they need to be prepared and step up their game.  NMSU is a very dangerous team playing before a home crowd.

this should be an awesome game! with the winner probably taking the championship in my opinion. but i think nevada might edge nmsu in this one. yes even as an nmsu fan, nevada just has nmsu's number for some reason. and nmsu looked horrible tonight too!

so did any of you guys make it down here to cruces for the tournament this week?

I doubt that any of our posters are down there for the tourney but we get to watch the game tonight on local TV. What fans are down their are mostly parents, boosters and retired folks.

Javale McGee is really coming into his own right now. But for this team to advance they all need to put it together at the same time. They did just enough to squeak past Fresno. The defense has looked solid lately, and you can see why Lyndale made first team on D. It's now or never for the Wolf Pack. Tear 'em up.

Sorry, all you Wolf Pack fans. I fell asleep just before your game. Woke up at 5 in the morning in time to catch the last 10 minutes of NMSU-Idaho thing. So, since I missed your game, I can't do any trash talking. Except to say we cruised by 20 and you guys didn't cruise by 20.  Which surprised me. So, bring your "A" game tonight. I will take a nap after work and be bright-eyed for our matchup. It comes on at 3:30 a.m. my time.

Go Aggies!

Fresno is the best 7 seed you'll ever see.  Idaho luckily slipped in to the 6 seed therefore you got to play them.  Rest assured we'll be ready to play tonight.

IMO the reason the guards had a rough game, was the defensive play of Fresno.  Thier guards are quick and they were switing and double teaming a lot.  It just proves we can win without Kemp scoring 20, and fields and AJ mis firing.  I have confidence in this team but was suprised to see we are favored by 4 points tonight
