As a Twins fan you guys have nothing to worry about.  Santana always started off slow for the twins.  He usually doesn't hit his stride until after the all-star game.  It usually takes him a while to get under control of his changeup.  I don't know if that was the problem but there is no reason to panic.

I hate the Mets as much as anyone, but Johan didn't really look bad today.  His change was pretty nasty, and he got inside on a few hitters without having much of a fastball at all.  If anything people should be scared that he didn't have a good fastball at all today, and was still getting pretty bad swings with the change.  The rest of the NL East and all of us Yankee fans better hope he never finds his fastball, or he pulls a Carl Pavano.

Hey I don't care what happens the first few outings in spring. The last couple of games when you want to make sure velocity is where it needs to be maybe, but right now I could care less as long as none of our guys get hurt, I'm good.  GO Mets!!!

you need to calm the dreak down.  Maybe take some ritalin perhaps?  The thread was a joke.  I myself said he was going to do much much better in the season,  I myself said this game or his performance meant ABSOULTELY NOTHING.  So take so midol, and get over it.  If he went 9 innings, 27 strikeouts it still wouldn't mean a thing.  We'll see you in April though....and hopefully you face that "crapy pitcher" we got from you.  Go ahead...say you'll destroy him.  Fact is, neither one of us know...so we'll just see.  but until then, keep this in mind.
