Are you kidding?!?!?!?!  Marcelus Kemp shoots 5 for 14 (35%) from the field.  I am so disappointed with his inconsistency this year.  That's why he's not in the NBA right now  He was supposed to be the go-to guy, the leader this year.  But, he is so damn hot and cold.  I know it sounds cold, but I really can't wait until he is gone next year and Armon has more freedom to shoot.  I am tired of Kemp not stepping up on a consistent basis.

Unfortunately, my cable company does not offer ESPNU, so I know the game only by the stats.  I followed it online.  Nevada was absolutely man-handled by a superior team.  What an embarassment.  And the turnovers?!?!  Nevada had 21 turnovers!  Armon personally had  more turnovers himself than the entire SIU team.  I am like a broken record on these posts when I repeatedly say this: Nevada has to cut down the turnovers - less than 10 a game.

I am still holding out hope that Nevada can run the table in the WAC - both in regular season and the tournament.  Given the way they played tonight and their inconsistency, it's not looking too promising.  If they don't win out the rest of the season, then they definitely won't get into the NCAA tournament, and I'm concerned that with any more losses their chances of playing in the NIT are diminishing.  Hopefully they'll see some post season play.  They just now need to focus on their remaining conference games - 1 game at a time.

Wel, I am shocked to tell you the truth. I really thought Nevada would have put up a better fight than that. My NMSU team destroyed a team they were supposed to beat LBSU  by 32 points. If Either one of our teams is to have a realistic chance to win the regular season title next Thursday nights game is freakin huge. I would wish you luck but GO AGGIES!!!!!!!!

I know a lot of Nevada fans will not want to talk about it but Fox got out-coached in this match. There was other factors why Nevada lost but Fox could not answer the half-court blind trap. SIU created at least 8 turnovers in the first half from this type of trap. SIUs coach showed something they don't usually do to trip up Nevada and it worked. Fox is to predictable, every game has the same game plan. Yes, there is no question that he is a winner and will be for a very long time but when a coach/team gets predictable, someone will come along and take advantage. SIU probably gave the other teams in the WAC some insight to a few vulnerable areas of Nevada's game.

Armon will learn a lot from this match up in respect to bringing up the ball. He got surprised and then he became frustrated with the trap. He was the only one to pick up the pace in the second half and worked hard even though Nevada was down by 20+ points.

Freeswilli by thankfull your cable company doesn't offer the U (by the way you should get rid of them and get someone who does, like direct tv)  I had the great opprotunity to watch our team on the U, and it was a depressing frustrating way to spend my Saturday.  We came out hot 3 for 3 from beyond the arc, but right off the bat our defense and rebounding looked terrible.  We would get a board, then juggle it around 5 times and it eventualy ended up back in with SIU.  There was about 8 times where it looked like we can down with the board, but somehow it got poked away and ended up with SIU.  The most frustrating ones were the ones where they would go to the line miss the 2nd and get the board and putback. Our defense looked terrible the offense couldn't hold the ball to save their lives, It was a terrible game to watch.  Hopefully next year provides more consistency for us, cause as a fan I can't take this.  It is hard to be excited about a team that can go out and dominate and then lose to SJSU.

That was a numbing experience watching the Pack get manhandled. We had no answer for the physical style of play brought by the Salukis. It was ugly indeed. The entire 2nd half was garbage time. I was fortunate to be at a local pub so it turned into social time with friends. I probably would have turned it off if I was at home.

There will be better days for Nevada hoops. But likely not until next season. Though the rest of the conference doesn't look much better right now with exception of NMSU. Boise got roasted by Siena at home. Siena? I'm gonna go research this mighty team...lol.

I agree, backthe_ pack, the inconsistency is quite painful, I guess because you know they are capable of so much more. I'd be interested in hearing people's thoughts on the causes of this inconsistency and how you coach a team through it. Certainly there must be more to it than their being an "inexperienced team."

OUCH. Thats gotta hurt. The WAC did not look good this weekend, but to see the Nevada team go down like that was hard to watch. so much for the WAC being a 2 bid conference.

Its hard to admit the Wac is only a one bid conference but it is what it is. That being said I already have my Wac tourney tickets and cant wait for the tournament this year! It is going to be so wide open that there is 5 teams that could win it this year. Going to be a dogfight to see who gets that bid!
